When it comes to the 1st signs of pregnancy, every woman is unique. No two pregnancies are alike, even for the same woman. What may affect or be a symptom in one pregnant woman may not be the same in another, and vice versa, so it is often difficult to identiry the 1st signs of pregnancy.

1st Signs of Pregnancy: Not Just How You Feel

There are some women who struggle to recognize the 1st signs of pregnancy and say they just “feel” and “know” exactly the moment when they become pregnant. And then there are others who don’t know or feel they might be pregnant, some not experiencing recognizable symptoms even up until the point of a very unexpected and surprising delivery of a baby they didn’t know they were carrying. Truly, there is a wide assortment of pregnancy signs and symptoms, making it rather difficult for women to use one common, or even a few common signs and symptoms to identify the start of a pregnancy.

Aside from going to the doctor to take a pregnancy test, which is by far the most generally accepted way to establish a pregnancy, understanding the female body and the changes it undergoes while pregnant can help one pick up on subtle clues that might indicate a pregnancy.

The Natural 1st Signs of Pregnancy

For women who have normal menstrual cycles, a missed period is often one of the 1st signs of pregnancy. But for others with irregular periods, a missed period or a late menstruation is of no concern. Spotting that is associated with implantation of the fertilized egg may resemble a light period, and cause a woman to dismiss the thought of a possible pregnancy. A missed or late period can be the result of many other things including change in diet, medication, stress. Therefore, the lack of a period may be a symptom of early pregnancy for some but not others.

Another of the 1st signs of pregnancy is changes in the breasts. Changes in a woman’s breasts often indicate a change in the body, especially changes related to child bearing. Early in the beginning stages of pregnancy, the breasts undergo important changes, telling the body that something is happening. They begin to feel tender to the touch and some become painful and overly sensitive to stimuli. However, this alone is not solid proof of a pregnancy because the same changes are experienced in a menstrual cycle. Some women have a sensitivity to certain foods or medications that can facilitate changes in the breast as well.

Morning Sickness Can Be One of the 1st Signs of Pregnancy

Morning sickness is another of the 1st signs of pregnancy and is often exhibited by nausea and vomiting. It is a classic pregnancy symptom in which a woman will suddenly experience a severe aversion to the scent or taste of food that previously had no effect upon her before. It also occurs any time of the day but it can sometimes be easily resolved with a few saltine crackers and luke warm glass of water.

Another of the 1st signs of pregnancy is extreme tiredness. Normal activities that didn’t wear a woman out before suddenly do after she’s become pregnant. She might even find it hard to keep her eyes upon or insist she needs a nap in the afternoon or evening. Some women experience increased trips to the bathroom while others report feelings of bloating or cramping that resembles discomfort from menstruation. These are all common signs of early pregnancy, but are not definitive alone because tiredness or nausea or frequent urination and belly cramps can easily be associated with a number of other health concerns.

The early signs, 1st signs of pregnancy are often a combination of personal experiences that go hand in hand with subtle changes in the body. A simple pregnancy text at home or the doctor’s office remains the most credible and recognizable way to confirm a pregnancy and help ensure that the symptoms of missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, fatigue and other similar things are indeed pregnancy related and not the result of some other medical issue.

Are you asking yourself, “Are you fertile?” It’s an important question the many women are concerned about.

Are You Fertile at the Right Time?

Are you fertile at the right time of the month? You can actually monitor and time your sexual intercourse to be in sync with the most fertile time of the month. There are three ways to identify the most fertile days of your menstrual cycle and increase the likelihood of successfully starting a pregnancy. These three methods are natural ways of predicting the time for conception and answering the question ‘Are you fertile?’ You can monitor your fertility easily through three markers to find answer the question are you fertile at the right times. These markers are the cervical fluid test, the cervical position identification and the basal body temperature.

Are You Fertile Using the Vaginal Secretions Method?

Are you fertile when you check your vaginal secretions? They often signify fertility. One of those secretions is the cervical mucus, which is obviously secreted by the cervix. During menstrual cycles, the cervical linings produce this substance in large quantities. But after menstruation, production is kept to a minimum, so little production that a woman literally feels ‘dry.’

Normally, the mucus is cloudy and thick. But in the middle of the cycle, it becomes clear, slippery and stretchy. Its consistency resembles that of an egg white. This usually occurs a day before ovulation and signifies the point at which you are most fertile.

You can check the mucus yourself to answer the question, ‘Are You Fertile?’ Did you know that you can actually feel and see the difference when the change occurs. You can do this by wiping your vagina before urination. Making sure your hands are washed and clean, gently place your fingers into the opening of your vagina and collect a portion of the mucus. Note the consistency, color and elasticity of the mucus. If the mucus stretches by spreading the fingers without breaking and is clear in color, it is a sign that you are fertile.

Are You Fertile?- The Cervix Position

Another way to check the state of your fertility is to know the position of your cervix. Many women do not realize this, but the cervix does change its placement during your cycle. Start by checking its position at the end of the period and do this daily at the same time to track your fertile periods and answer the question, are you fertile at the right time?.

Normally, the cervix is in a low position at the start of the cycle. However, the cervix transfers to a much higher position just before and during ovulation. You can check the position of the cervix yourself by inserting the middle finger into the vagina. Identifying the cervix is rather easy since it feels like a rounded cylindrical mass of tissue.

Are You Fertile?- Basal Body Temperature

Another way to answer the question ‘are you fertile’ is by measuring the basal body temperature (BBT). BBT is the body’s baseline temperature. Any increase in the temperature, even by half a Fahrenheit can indicate something about your fertility. BBT is normally lower at the earlier part of the cycle. On the day of the ovulation, the temperature increases slightly. It will then stay at that level until the start of the next cycle or continue to stay slightly elevated if you become pregnant.

The basal body temperature should be taken first thing in the morning before doing any activity, even before getting out of bed. An oral thermometer can be used. This should be done with the utmost care to get the desired results. Taking a quick sip of water will clearly throw off your result. Chart your results and overtime you will begin to see the natural fluctuations of your body’s temperature as you go through your cycle and be better able to help determine when you are most fertile.

So, are you fertile somewhere in your cycle? Now that you know three ways to help determine if you are fertile or not, using one alone can bring you success in getting pregnant, but using two or all three of the methods together may further increase your odds. The better in tune you are with your body and the changes that occur throughout your cycle, the more prepared you will be to answer that all-important question, “Are you fertile right now and can you get pregnant?”

If you want to answer the question, “Are you fertile,” with a resounding “yes!” check out this amazing information!

Are you asking yourself when is the best day to get pregnant? The whole maternity process is not easy. Even the simple act of getting pregnant is painfully difficult for some. There are several factors which can lead to difficulty in conceiving including stress, diet, medication, infection and others. Some people choose to follow conservative but invasive treatments to address the problem of fertility. But for many, just knowing the when is the best day to get pregnant can solve the problem without spending much time and money or potentially undergoing painful medical procedures.

How To Identify the Best Day to Get Pregnant

There are many natural ways to identify when is the best day to get pregnant for a woman. Each offers a different style of distinguishing the optimal time for conception. They may be used independently or together to help increase your chances of becoming pregnant.

One of the easiest ways to identify the best day to get pregnant is by knowing the time period of ovulation that is part of your menstrual cycle. Ovulation is the time when a mature ovum (or egg) is released in the uterus following a rise in the levels of Luteinizing Hormone (LH). For a normal twenty eight-day cycle, this usually falls on the fourteenth day. For those who have a menstrual cycle other than the twenty-eight day series, divide the actual number of days in your cycle by two and then add in an allowance of one to two days to arrive at an estimated day of ovulation. This is not an exact science however and the calculation doesn’t hold true for all women, and sometimes what you think is the best day to get pregnant is not really true.

The mature ovum or egg that is released during ovulation is ripe for fertilization and ready for conception. It has a short lifespan though. It is viable for a total of twelve hours before it starts to disintegrate. The day of ovulation is the best day to get pregnant. There are other signs and symptoms associated with ovulation that are worth noting and tracking since the above calculation is really just a guideline for the best day to get pregnant.

Mucus Changes Can Tell You the Best Day to Get Pregnant

One of these other signs and symptoms to figure out the best day to get pregnant is by noting and tracking the changes in your cervical mucus. Cervical mucus is a substance that increases in volume as the menstrual cycle progresses. This secretion and its characteristics are representations of the rising levels of estrogen in the body. The day your cervical mucus turns clear, stretchy and slippery (often characterized as resembling egg whites) is the best day to get pregnant. The role of this mucus is to protect the sperm from harmful vaginal substances, nourish them and guide them through the uterus into the fallopian tubes until one of them gets in contact with the egg cell.

Temperature Can Establish the Best Day to Get Pregnant

Another sign of ovulation occurs with a change in the body’s basal temperature, and this can tell you the best day to get pregnant. A moderate rise in the body’s warmth or the basal body temperature usually happens after ovulation. This means that the production of progesterone is increased which is conducive for conception. The best day to get pregnant is two or three days before the hike in temperature. Charting your basal body temperature for a couple of months can help one identify the best day to get pregnant.

The best time for conception is individualized. Along with a great deal of preparation and a deep understanding of one’s menstrual cycle in relation to pregnancy, one can easily pinpoint the best time to get pregnant. A combination of the three is a formidable tool to achieve the highest possibility of pregnancy. By careful monitoring, and be studying our special material, you can recognize the best day to get pregnant.

It is easier to get pregnant if you possess happy and stable thinking. You should do your best to maintain a happy attitude and stay away from negative influences that might bring your spirit down and nullify your efforts in getting pregnant naturally. As stress levels increase, the chances of fertility may dramatically be reduced, so don’t pressure yourself to conceive quickly. Allow time for nature to take its course and always have the determination, the focus, and the will in your mind that when the rightful time comes, you will be blessed with a baby.

2. Take time to relax and unwind when Getting Pregnant Naturally.

Since it is an established fact that when you are getting pregnant naturally stress is a hindrance to your body’s over-all performance, having some time to relax at your own pace and discretion could alleviate the stress that is constantly hunting you. Having a warm bath, or indulging yourself in aromatherapy, a massage or reflexology may also help you alleviate stress. These activities do not only condition your body but also soothe the mind.

3. Eat a healthy diet when Getting Pregnant Naturally.

When getting pregnant naturally you need to get the diet right. Nutritious foods like green leafy vegetables that are rich in folic acid and essential vitamins are very vital for the health and wellbeing of both the mother and the baby. Having adequate intake of lean meat and beans will also provide you with the protein and iron that you will need to make your body capable of conceiving. These foods can also improve your ability to ovulate because low iron levels have been shown to negatively affect the female reproductive system and in fact, may impede ovulation.

Following these simple, natural steps mentioned above will certainly not hurt you, but they could aid you in getting pregnant naturally. In fact, with any luck, maybe it will be just the trick and soon you’ll find yourself pregnant with the baby of your dreams.

If you feel feverish and your temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees C / 100 degrees F but with no flu or cold symptoms call you’re GP, but if i 00004000 t scales to more than 39 degrees C / 102 degrees F, then “immediate” attention from your doctor is vital. (Infection is probable.) Never must you while pregnant attempt to relieve headache or backache pain with any type of medication without consulting your doctor first.

Hormone changes in the body during pregnancy almost always in some way impair how glucose is used in the body. Insulin is a hormone produced to trigger glucose being moved through the body to provide energy. If the body becomes resistant to this hormonal trigger the result is the same as if too little insulin was being produced. For the pregnant woman, this might mean having a higher than normal blood sugar level, but not high enough to be diabetes during most of the pregnancy.

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by many species of bacteria including the Gardnerella vaginitism, which was previously thought to be the sole culprit of the infection. Contrary to population notion, these bacteria are natural inhabitants of the vaginal area that, for some reason or another, grew to excess and, hence, lead to the most common vaginal infection.

Many women will be surprised that they feel back pain so early in their pregnancy. Progesterone, a hormone produced early in pregnancy, is responsible for much of this low-back pain. This hormone, which is essential to embryo implantation and gestation, softens the ligaments and disks in your back as well. This reduces the support required by your upper body, often resulting in muscle spasms and cramps in your lower back.

Listeria can be the cause of spontaneous abortions, premature labor, stillbirths, and infants with sepsis or meningitis. The newborn mortality rate from this disease is between 30 and 63%. The fetus gets infected either through the placenta via the maternal bloodstream, or ascending from the vaginal canal after having been infected from the gastrointestinal tract.

Almost 3 to 4 percent of pregnant women were affected by gestational diabetes and usually begin on the second trimester, usually the fifth or sixth month of pregnancy or/and after delivery. It might be diagnosed within the pregnancy period or even after it if the disease is not given ample treatment while within the period.

Every mother to be is going to experience pregnancy symptoms. The discomforts of morning sickness, cramps, swelling, stretch marks, and varicose veins. Do a little research to find the best treatment for your symptoms. Saltine crackers and smelling a green apple is good tricks for alleviating morning sickness. Since you are eating for two now make sure that you are getting the best diet you can to ensure your giving your unborn child the best nutrients you can.

Asthma patient should receive education about maintenance and rescue medication, how to measure PEFR by peak flow meter, proper use of inhalers, asthma prevention, and adherence of asthma action plan. Patient should also learn when the asthma is worsening and when to contact the doctor.

 QUESTION:
Can I be having morning sickness and pregnancy cramps 4 to 5 days after getting pregnant?
I had sex with my bf 5 to 6 days ago and I was ovulating he didn’t ejaculate inside of me but he did in the opening of my vagina. I think he might of push some inside of me. Now my bReast feel kind of sore and I’ve been cramping, also been having something like morning sickness. Is too soon or I’m pregnant?

 ANSWER:
It’s unlikely that you’re experiencing symptoms this early on, it can take a while for the sperm to reach the egg in the first place, especially if you don’t actually release an egg when you think you’re going to. It’s never exactly on the 14th day, everyone’s cycle is different. Breast tenderness and cramping could be a sign of your period, it might be that you’re going to have one early. Or of course there is always that chance, however slim, that you could be pregnant. The only way you’re going to know for sure is by doing a test but if I were you I’d wait it out for at least another week. Most women find out they’re pregnant at about 5-6 weeks, wait till you’re due on and if after a couple of days it doesn’t happen, then try a pregnancy test.

 QUESTION:
Cramps/Morning Sickness?
Did any of you have cramps early in your pregnancy? Also about when did morning sickness start for you?(if you had it at all)

 ANSWER:
Cramping is pretty normal in early pregnancy–

Many women get concerned by cramping that they experience in early pregnancy. Cramping in early pregnancy is not only common but very normal. Some women start cramping shortly after they get a positive pregnancy test as their uterus starts preparing to carry a baby for nine months. The uterus is a big organ and as it grows in early pregnancy cramping is expected. This cramping normally stops by the end of the first trimester or at about 12 weeks. If the cramping and also have bleeding then you need to contact your Dr, also if the cramping is so severe that you cannot continue with activities of daily living. But some “period like” cramping is very normal as the uterus begins to stretch.

As for the morning sickness (or all day sickness) it really depends on the woman and the pregnancy. Some women develop morning sickness very early on in the pregnancy and it lasts all the way through, but for most women who experience morning sickness it does start to lessen by the end of the first trimester, some women never have any morning sickness, and some only have a few days of queasiness.

Remember if you are pregnant and are having symptoms that worry you that it is fine to call your Dr and ask questions!

Good Luck and Happy Pregnancy!!

 QUESTION:
9 weeks pregnant – morning sickness, cramps, diarrhea and horrbile fatigue!?
I just had my ultrasound three days ago, found out everything was fine, but now I am experiencing aches (specifically in my back and shoulders) also in the weirdest place! My calve muscles. Is that normal?

Also, I canNOT keep anything down. Every morning when I get out of bed, I feel dizzy with a bad headache. Then I feel sick in my stomach – leading me to throw up. (Since I have nothing in my stomach, it is usually bile – yuck.)

And I know this sounds gross but I’ve also been having mild to mildly intense stomach cramps accompanied by diarrhea. Is there anything I can take for this?

I’ve been also off work for a few days, but since I have to go back tomorrow, I am scared because I do not feel energized. I am drained, which is weird because I’ve been literally lying around the house for the past three days – doing NOTHING! When will all of this go away?? Is this normal?

 ANSWER:
No one is really helping you by saying “Welcome to pregnancy” so let me try and help you out.

Yes, all this is normal. Luckily most of these stop once you get to your 2nd trimester. I have been pregnant 4 times and they have all been different. My first I was great, second kinda sick, third VERY sick {miscarried}, and this one I feel great with the exception of being sooo sleepy. This is what you need to do. If you can get to the store buy yourself a bag of peppermints, a box of crackers and some 2 liters of ginger ale. Keep a pack of crackers next to your bed. As soon as your eyes open tomorrow morning, do NOT sit up, stretch – NOTHING. Reach your arm over and get a cracker. Eat about 3 of them. Then sit up very slowly. Go to the kitchen and sip on a cup of room temperature ginger ale. After that, eat a peppermint. Eat 20 a day if you have to. Peppermints have a way of settling your stomach. Your doctor can tell you a safe dose of Immodiom {sp?} for diarrhea if its out of control. Stay away from greasy and fast foods. Yogurt is great too {I am eating some now lol}. I hope you get to feeling better. If you can’t get to the store have someone go for you!! Good luck it’ll be over soon!!

{P.S. Prenatals can make you nauseous so try eating 2 Flintstones vitamins in place… thats what I do}

Do you have a wife/girlfriend/mom/sister that is pregnant?

EDIT: If you have a close person that is pregnant you could be experiencing “sympathetic pregnancy” It is a real thing and sucks completely. BUT, the nice thing about it is that what works for a women, will work for a man experiencing it. Eat saltines and bland food, drink ginger ale, and if it gets terrible; just go to the DR and ask for a prescription for Zofran!

 QUESTION:
Morning sickness, period cramps, had sex, period started the next afternoon…now it’s stopped…?
I had been having morning sickness for about 4 days this week. I had also been having sharp stomach pains, whish caused the overwhelming nasuea and the throwing up. I have also been having bad period cramps. Last night, I had intercourse with my boyfriend and then this morning, my stomach just didn’t feel right. I started having really bad period cramps. Around 4:57 PM, my period started. I just laughed it off, as everyone kept telling me I was pregnant (because I was craving pickles, lol.). So I went about my normal business, used a tampon, and finished helping my boyfriend paint the living room. Five hours after I put the tampon in, I go to change it…there’s like nothing on it. My periods are usually between medium-heavy…I want to know what the possibilties of me being pregnant are.

Can you have period-like cramps while pregnant? What IS SPOTTING!? No one seems to describe it. How much blood comes out? What is it like? I NEED ANSWERS PLEASE!!! Please help…I’m so scared and confused.

 ANSWER:
If you had unprotected sex, yea its possible you could be. The only way to really know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. Yes, you can have period like cramps when your pregnant. I’m pregnant and I have them. Spotting is like a little blood, but not a lot like when you have your period.

My advice: take a pregnancy test. but know that some can read negative when you are pregnant, so I’d go to the doctor, if you don’t have your period soon.

Ok ill be 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow. For the past 2 days ive been having this weird discharge only a couple times a day it kinda looks like boogery but sometimes its more brownish tan sorry TMI its gross! And also for the past week and a half ive had horrible nausea that lasts all day long and i usually have vomiting at night. Well my nausea has lessened, I actually feel good when I wake up ( i still have sore boobs/fatigue/frequent urination) I still vomit at night and have occasional mild nausea during the day. Isnt morning sickness supposed to last like a month? Is it normal for it to become milder the second week? Its almost unnoticable during the day. Im just paranoid about miscarriage!! I know that symptoms that disappear can lead to that. Also today I had a couple weird cramp things in my left lower back that only lasted a second…ive heard that can be a sign of ectopic or miscarriage…any suggestions as to if everything is normal? Thanks ladies
My dr said that the brown discharge isnt something to worry about, only red. Im concerned about my morning sickness lessening im happy not to constantly feel ill but is that normal?

 ANSWER:
thick discharge is normal during pregnancy, and of course so is nausea, even though they call it morning sickness most times it’s throughout the day and some people have it all through their pregnancy, I had alot of cramps during my first trimester, it felt like a bad period, i also had some bleeding, which is actually common, I wouldn’t worry, my son is almost 5 mths now, each pregnancy is different, my first I sort of breezed through it, my second was alot of cramps, spotting, aches all over, nausea got me during second trimester, best luck

 QUESTION:
cramps or morning sickness?
Let me first say I really do not think I am pregnant, I have been on Yaz for 2 years prior to Nuva ring which I just started on September 24th. On October 20th I opted to skip my period (because I was on my honeymoon) I just took out my second ring today two days early because my uterus hurts so god damn much. It started last night November 7th feeling sick constantly waking up and having bad cramps. This morning and throughout the day they have gotten worse it feels as if my uterus is a about to burst and when I walk I have to hunch over a little. I feel nauseous and about to throw up at times but not enough to actually run to the bathroom and I haven’t actually thrown up or even gagged, just the feeling randomly that I might. My breasts are not tender at all, and I don’t feel motion sick or dizzy. I tried to walk it off knowing exercise can help cramps but it just made me want a bed more. I have taken Midol and I don’t think it has helped that much if at all.

My Questions:

1. do you think I’m pregnant or just having really bad cramps if you think I’m pregnant would a pee on test show up by the time you are feeling morning sickness (mind you I have skipped a period with the Nuvaring)
2. My husband remembers when I started Yaz and says I had really bad cramps when I first started it as well, could this be my body adapting to the medicine?
3. Could this be constipation? I feel sharp pains have it is getting worse overall, I don’t remember going to the bathroom in a few days but I continue to eat (though admittedly increasing less each passing meal)
3. What can I do to feel better right now I can’t do anything, it hurts to much I have taken warm showers and put the water on my lower stomach and it makes it feel really good but hot pads outside the shower do not have nearly the same effect.
4. Because I just got married we are both in-between health insurances now so any “at home” advice would be very helpful, if not how much does it cost to go to a walk in clinic for something like this?
Thank you so much for your help, will vote on best!

 ANSWER:
Constipation is an unlikey cause, but its possible. Mentrual cramps are usually not accompanied by sharp pains. You could have an ectopic pregnancy, in which case you may not have the normal signs of pregnancy, and you should find an ER asap. Is there a phone nurse in your area you can call? Look in the phone book under social services or something like that and there should be a free phone advice nurse service.

whats worst? morning sickness for 5 hours and period cramps for 5 hours

 ANSWER:
You can do something for cramps, it’s called Midol. You can’t really do much about morning sickness except nibble crackers or something and tough it out. I have morning sickness all day long (it actually gets worse in the evening around seven or eight) and I can’t do a darn thing about it.

 QUESTION:
Am 16 week pregnant no bleeding just morning sickness and small cramps now and then is that normal to have?
I had 2 m/c last year so this my 3rd baby the other before had no heartbeat so I had a natural m/c. The first m/c was painful the second went so fast didn’t know i was pregnant since i was on b/c. With this pregnancy it happen after my second m/c in Dec and i got pregnant 2 weeks after , I had no cycle what so ever. I went in to the doctor office they did a ultrasound on me I measure me at 7 weeks and the baby had a strong heart beat 155 bpm. So far this pregnancy been going fine , I had no bleeding, just a lot of morning sickness but, not all the time, and the small cramps just started i believe is my stomach making more room for the baby. So far the baby been moving I know Tuesday for the sex (girl i hoping). Is that normal to have morning sickness in the second trimester?.And the doc keep saying it good am throwing up lol.
any way to try to make it stop a bit am eating crackers and peggie drops
i was 13 weeks on my first m/c and 5 week on my second m/c they had no heartbeat and i had a natural m/c

 ANSWER:
The doc is right, morning sickness is actually a good sign that your pregnancy is established and your pregnancy hormones are high as they should be. You don’t say at how many weeks your previous m/c were, but having one at 16 weeks is thankfully very rare. As your ligaments stretch at this time it is normal to feel some twinging and discomfort in your abdomen. However if you do have cramping tummy pain it is always a good idea to get your urine checked as you may have an infection which can affect the pregnancy.
Many women find their sickness goes by 13 weeks however for me it was always about 18 weeks before it went. For one of my pregnancies I was terribly sick all the way through.
Good luck.

 ANSWER:
yes it is completely normal to have no morning sickness and you have to thank God for that.
dear not all pregnancies r the same … also nausea may get started by a week or two so don’t stress your self and relax every thing is going to be ok if you keep on protecting your self and not to do so much effort in your first trimesters.
and all the cramps you feel is due to the expanding of the size of your uterus to carry out your baby.
good luck and congratulations for the baby

 QUESTION:
Morning sickness gone and slight cramps?
somewhere between 8 and 12 weeks (havent had first scan yet :/) is it going to be okay? :/ xxxxxx

 ANSWER:
It’s impossible for us to know because both of those things are normal. Try not to stress too much, what will be, will be whether you want it or not. That was my mantra for the first trimester.
Although I will say not a lot of women know this but it is pretty normal to get pms symptoms or period style cramps around the times you would normally be due for your period, even when you’re pregnant. It doesn’t mean anythings wrong, it just means your body still works in certain cycles. So for me I had cramping at around 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 weeks. It just got milder and milder every month and by 20 weeks I hardly noticed. Remember that mild to medium cramping at any stage is pretty normal as your body is stretching and changing.

Morning sickness is completely unpredictable. Mine would come and go every few days because as I later found out, pregancy hormones are not technically released in a steady stream, they have big ‘bursts’ here and there that boost your levels. So often you will feel sick after this while your body adjusts to the new levels and then just as you start to feel better, another surge will happen.

The only time worth worrying is if the cramps are so bad you can hardly talk or stand up straight (so they say) or if you start bleeding. If not, relax because there is plenty of cramping and aches and pains coming your way over the next 30 weeks or so.

Good Luck.

 QUESTION:
Morning sickness?
I already asked this in pregnancy, but people ask questions so fast in that category that my question is already way down the line, and I only have a couple of answers. So I’m reposting it here.

I woke up this morning at 3 a.m. with nausea that was just like extra acid that wouldn’t go away, I felt like I wanted to puke but could hold it. I feel like I could burp puke. It’s different from my last preg because then I had hardly any Morning sickness, and when I did, it’d be a wave of nausea then I’d be ok. Yesterday my BBT went down in the morning, it had been going down, but then later that day and today it’s been up. I thought AF was coming early yesterday because of cramps, but she didn’t. The cramps stopped and now I feel like puking, but the HPT was neg. My AF isn’t due for a couple of days but it’s kind of late for implantaion, it’s l11 days after ovulation. I could have that date wrong, though I’m pretty sure it’s right.
My last prg was a miscarrage so thats a good sign right?
I mean, If i am pregnant and this ismorning sickness, then it’s a good sign that it’s different from last time. what do you think? morning sickness or just bad food

 QUESTION:
Slight cramping, morning sickness, tiredness, haven’t missed a period. Possibly pregnant?
Okay, I have always had irregular periods all my life.
I know it is possible to have bleeding every month like a period through out the beginning of pregnancy & in some cases through out the whole pregnancy.
But here is whats going on with me;
About a week & a half ago I started experiencing extreme morning sickness.
Except at night which is normal dunning pregnancy’s in my family. Well the morning sickness just got worse & worse to the point it happens sometimes through out the day.
I got off my period about 4 days ago & yesterday started having slight cramping. Not like my period cramps which are so bad I can’t stand them but just light mild cramping.
I have gained a little weight which is odd because I haven’t increased my eating habit ( I don’t eat very much )
I stay so tired all the time, I take naps during the day and everything which isn’t like me.
I have always been able to run on little sleep just fine.

The last time I had sex was just about a month ago.
I also had sex a few times the month before that (unprotected most of the time)
Since then I have started having the symptoms. So if I am pregnant it could have happened either of those months.
I am also experiencing a few other symptoms of pregnancy.
But I think the ones listed are enough for someone to give me an opinion here.

Does it sound like I have a good chance of being pregnant?

oh & bleeding dunning the first few months of pregnancy is aalso common in my family

Aughhhhh the waiting is the worst bit.

You wont necessarily feel any different.

I underwent IVF last month and had heaps of symptoms and I was not pregnant just really hoping to be pregnant, so I know how you feel because you analyse everthing that is going on and you are totally tuned into your body right now.

I underwent an embryo transfer ten days ago so I am hopeful but will not be putting myself under so much pressure this time as I know every little tummy ache, nausea etc might not be anything.

Take it easy and hang in there I really do hope your test is postive and I wish I could make time go faster for you.

Call your ob/gyn, just to be safe. You are still in the “scary” place where a miscarriage is much more likely to occur. I never had an ounce of morning sickness with my first one, and morning sickness all day everyday until the third trimester with my second….you just don’t know how your body is going to react to the pregnancy and it is all a learning experience. Your body is going through a lot of changes, and in that you are going to experience things that may seem “abnormal”. Stressing out about minor things is BAD–call your ob/gyn—-alleviate the questions and stress!! They will call you in and have you checked. Good Luck!!

 QUESTION:
is it ok to be pregnant and not have morning sickness?
well I’m 4 weeks and 3 days but no sign of morning sickness. i have very light cramps but thats it..do you think something is wrong? or i should be prepare because its coming soon?

 ANSWER:
I’ve read that morning sickness is a sign of high hormones in your body and it is a good sign… LOL… BUT, with my daughter, I only had morning sickness in my first trimester, and only on a few occassions – once I woke up thirsty and basically thought the orange juice was the best thing I ever had and chugged a glass. ewwww…. so sick. Then, I learned if I coughed, sneezed, or blew my nose within the first hour I’d be sick, otherwise great! So, no I don’t think anything’s wrong – be happy for each day of your pregnancy… LOL.. and even delight in the sickness (if it comes) for you are growing a miracle today!

 QUESTION:
Morning cramps in early pregnancy?
I am 6 weeks 3 days pregnant and the past few mornings when I wake up I have period like cramps, but they don’t last long and they’re pretty mild. Is this normal? I don’t necessarily have morning sickness because I don’t feel like I’m going to get sick — just cramps. Is everything okay? My doctors appointment isn’t until the end of next week.

 ANSWER:
‘usually’ cramping is completely normal – your uterus is just expanding for your growing baby. maybe just tell your doctor about what is going on, but you shouldn’t have nothing to worry about

if the cramps become unbearable and there is some spotting and bleeding, make a trip up to the hospital to check if everything is okay

 QUESTION:
When did morning sickness start for you?
I’m about a month pregnant and still don’t feel anything except a few cramps and back pain here and there. When does morning sickness usually start? (Not that I’m looking forward to it)

 ANSWER:
It really started about 7 weeks, and lasted til about 16-17 weeks. I didn’t have typical morning sickness…I had mostly evening nausea, and it usually only happened when I was overtired. I’d lay down on my left side and sip some water/eat some saltines and the nausea would subside. I didn’t vomit at all. (I gagged a few times because I was SUPER sensitive to smells and my roommate at the time had this AWFUL colonge…It actually got to the point where we made him put it on outside so the smell wouldn’t linger!!) LOL…Anyway, best of luck to you, and congratulations!!

I would like to hear from other mums/ expecting mums as to how long both these things lasted for? Any good cures for the morning sickness which is actually all day sickness for me! I am taking ginger tablets and a pregnancy multivit which has B6 in it also but I am still terribly sick which is affecting me at work!

 ANSWER:
My morning sickness lasted from week 8 until about week 16.Some women don’t get sick at all and others can last the duration.

As far as the cramping goes you’ll get it for the entire pregnancy off and on.Now if you have the cramping associated with any bleeding then you need to call your doctor immediately.Your uterus will be growing up to 500 times it’s original size and those cramps are a sign of it.It’s uncomfortable but not unbearable.God bless you.

 ANSWER:
Remember, every woman is different. Morning sickness really should be call all day sickness, because you are not only sick in the morning. Try keeping saltines and a glass of water next to your bed, before you stand up in the morning, nibble on a couple of crackers and sip on the water. Also, what time are you taking your pre-natal vitamins? If you are taking them in the morning try switching and taking them at night, just before bed, that really helped me in both of my pregnancies.

I just woke up and I’m hung-over. What now? There has to be something I can do! After awakening, there are many things you can & should do to treat hangover symptoms. Here are 10 suggestions how to get rid of a hangover:

Best hangover cures. These first 5 suggestions for quick hangover recovery are recommended immediately after stumbling out of bed:

1) Re-hydrate your body with plenty of liquids. Drink plenty of purified or spring water immediately after awakening and continue throughout the morning. Tomato juice (such as V8), and other fresh fruit juices are also very effective liquids to treat hangover symptoms. Sports drinks, such as Gatorade or Powerade, often speed up the body’s replenishing process for quick hangover recovery by including electrolytes and other essential vitamins. Herbal teas, such as ginger tea, peppermint tea and chamomile tea are all great ways how to get rid of a hangover.

2) Make sure you eat a decent breakfast, especially if your stomach is relatively empty from the night before. Avoid foods with a lot of starch, animal fats or grease. A greasy sausage in the morning may psychologically or physically make your hangover symptoms feel worse! Laying down briefly after eating breakfast may help your stomach settle and speed the hangover healing process.

3) With your breakfast, be sure to take vitamins, minerals and herbal remedies. Panax Ginseng can bolster mental alertness (and physical endurance). Milk Thistle and Dandelion root herbs can detoxify your liver. The minerals Magnesium and Calcium can replace lost nutrients due to alcohol consumption. Finally, all B-Vitamins, Vitamin-C, and Acidophilus can all aid in quick hangover recovery.

4) Try not to go overboard on aspirin, ibuprofen etc… – it’s easy to think you need more than is prescribed on the bottle, but frequently only a small amount will do the trick. Try to avoid stronger prescribed pain killers as they may be more addictive and have unwanted side effects such as drowsiness. NOTE: The pain reliever acetaminophen has been linked to liver damage, therefore this drug should be avoided by drinkers.

5) One way how to get rid of a hangover is to just ‘sleep it off’ (if you can). After being awake and suffering for a while, consider going back to sleep (if you have no pending obligations). A good nap after you’ve already had breakfast, aspirin, some water etc…. can be one of the best hangover cures by speeding the healing process. Just an hour or two back in bed may be what the doctor ordered to treat hangover symptoms. Consider using an alternative sleep aid such as soft music to help you get more rest. Also, always have an eye mask on hand to block out unwanted light.

Possibly not the best hangover cures, but here are 3 less conventional, yet possibly effective solutions to treat hangover symptoms:

1) “Will” yourself to exercise. This may be very difficult in the midst of feeling ‘blah,’ but if you can overcome your feelings and lack of morning motivation, try to exercise any way you can. Getting your body to move ultimately energizes your spirit and mental alertness and possibly helps your body rid excess alcohol and toxins more quickly. One easy way to invigorate body and mind is to take a good brisk walk around the block.

2) Consider chewing gum aggressively, but don’t overdo it. By chewing gum fast or chewing several pieces at a time, you may make yourself temporarily more alert by increasing blood flow around the head and brain area. Obviously do not chew if you have dental issues. Also avoid chewing for too long – your jaw muscles may become tired or sore, possibly resulting in another headache.

3) Here’s a wild way how to get rid of a hangover. Fill your sink with water and ice and keep dipping your head in-and-out until you’ve had enough. This is sure to invigorate your senses for quick hangover recovery! An ice cold shower can also have similar effects.

Finally:

1) If you have a nasty headache, try using a forehead ice pack to treat hangover symptoms. Not only may this help your headache but the coldness might actually help jolt your overall system into overdrive. If you don’t have an ice pack, make one by filling a re-sealable plastic bag with ice.

2) How to get rid of a hangover ? … just give it time. One of the best remedies is to just give your hangover time to heal itself. The severity or duration of a hangover varies by a number of intangibles such as exactly how much, what and how quickly you drank your alcoholic beverage, the amount of time you slept the previous night and how much food you mixed in with your drinking. Generally, your hangover will peak within the first 2 hours after awakening and steadily improve throughout the day. The average person will be clear of most hangover symptoms by mid-afternoon to early evening.

As you see, there are many ways for quick hangover recovery from terrible morning hangovers, varying from scientifically proven best hangover cures, to more radical wisdom. The biggest obstacle is having the ‘will’ to get over what ails you. Using these suggestions you can easily treat hangover symptoms and cut recovery time by 50 percent or more.

Can you get evening sickness rather than morning sickness?
I am 8 weeks pregnant, and this is will be my first child. I started noticing I get very nausious in the evening time, that is also the time I take my prenatal vitamins. Is it normal to get evening sickness rather than morning sickness, or could I be getting sick from my prenatal vitamins? Also I have noticed some days I can eat everything in sight and I am still hungry as for other days I will eat a meal and feel stuffed after a few bites. Is this normal?

 ANSWER:
Who ever came up with the phrase morning sickness was an idiot…lol. I call it all day sickness because it can strike at any time. For some it is worse in the morning because of an empty stomach though. And prenatal vitamins used to bring on the sickness for me too, they are pretty nasty. Everything you described is normal.

Is it common to have ‘evening sickness’ as oppose to morning sickness?
We have 3 children and with the first my wife was sick a few times everyday for the full 9 months. With the second ( i know it sounds daft) she was sick every tuesday for full 9 months and funnily enough my daughter was born on a tuesday lol. With the 3rd she was sick on a teatime for the first 3 months. So i think that tells you that everyones different . Plus the doctor told her that sickness in pregnancy is a good indication of an healthy pregnancy. Good luck !!

 QUESTION:
Second trimester morning/evening sickness?
I’m 11 weeks (almost 12) pregnant, and so I’m pretty much out of the first trimester. During the first trimester, I wasn’t sick at all. Now, right after dinner I vomit. I’ve taken to eating primarily bland foods so it doesn’t upset my stomach but that doesn’t do much. Also, now all of a sudden I get morning sickness. I tried keeping some oyster crackers beside my bed and eating those before I even get out of bed but those seem to come back up, too. Is this normal to be sick in the 2nd trimester? Also, how should I deal with the sickness?
BTW, this starting happening a week ago. Aside from the nausea and vomiting, I feel fine. No fevers, chills, et cetera.

 ANSWER:
Unfortunately it is very normal. I was sick all nine months. My doctor never put me on drugs because I was always gaining the minimum at each appointment. In my last few weeks she then questioned her own decision to keep me off the anti-nausea drug. Thus I know a lot about how to deal with morning sickness (or all day sickness in my case)

1. Try to figure out if you have food triggers. Even some bland food made me throw up. I threw up everything at one point or another, but some food I almost always threw up.

2. Drink ginger ale- read the label- most ginger ales don’t have actual ginger in them- you want the real stuff

3. Try drinking your nutrients- Smoothies and fruit juice snow-cones were a lifesaver for me.

4. Try to each very small meal- basically snack little amounts at a time

Hopefully one or more of these things will work for you. I hope your sickness goes away soon. Take care

 QUESTION:
Morning Sickness?
I am 8 weeks pregnant and the morning sickness is getting worse. I am vomitting the whole day and i feel tired coz of that. I work eight hours a day and keep on running to the toilet coz of the vomitting. Anyone knows any remedies for the morning, afternoon, evening and nite sickness. Please help.

 ANSWER:
Hi. I had the same thing and I got totally dehydrated. My Dr. put me on zofran, and it did wonders. I lost 15 pounds during that time. My morning sickness stopped at exactly 12 weeks. What a relief. I really only had to take about 1/4 of the zofran a day, and it really helped. I also agree with the potato chip theory. They helped too! If you are taking prenatal vitamins, you may want to lay off for a day or two. My Dr. took me off all of my vitamins for about 4 days. Good luck, and hang in there. I hope this helps!

How do I survive morning(evening/all day) sickness?
I’m 9 weeks and some and I’m out of it. I dont throw up but I’m always nauseous. Help! I’m considering sending in a resignation so I can stay home and feel ill

 ANSWER:
Whenever you eat, eat small meals. Don’t eat a big breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is better to eat small snacks througouht the day. When you are feeling nauseous, grab some crackers and sip on a coke or sprite. Its really hard, I worked at a dog grooming shop around dog poop whenever I was at my sickest, but you just have to breathe slowly and not over do yourself.

 ANSWER:
Its called ‘morning sickness’ because its usually at the start of your pregnancy. A bit like a ‘wedding breakfast’ isn’t actually breakfast but the first meal of the wedding.
Try eating little and often to combat it, make sure you are keeping your fluids up above all else though.

Hi. I had the same problem when i was pregnant. Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, eat smaller meals more often. When you feel sick to your stomach, sip some ginger ale, and eat a few saltine crackers. My doctor told me to do this, and it really helped. It will get better as your pregnancy progresses. QUESTION:
How early can you have morning sickness?
I am on day 20 of my cycle and have been trying to get pregnant. For the last two days I have felt exhausted and nauseous. I also have a sore back. Do you think it’s too early to experience morning sickness, even before I have missed a period!

Sorry but also wanted to say that I seem to have a slight liquidy discharge too. What’s that all about?!

 ANSWER:
I started feeling slightly nauseus a week before my period was due and I was sooo tired and had a sore lower back and sore boobs. I took a test the day my period was due and got a faint positive! so yes, you can be having morning sickness. It’s kind of let up now(I’m about 6 weeks) but I’m sort of expecting it too come back, with my first pregnancy it started the week before my period was due and NEVER went away until I was 6 months, it sucked!

 QUESTION:
Can you have evening sickness instead of morning sickness?

 ANSWER:
YES.

Morning sickness is not confined to the morning: nausea can occur at any time of the day, though it most commonly occurs soon after waking because blood sugar levels are typically the most depressed after these hours without eating.[citation needed]

Morning sickness usually starts in the first month of the pregnancy, peaking in the 5th to 7th weeks, and continuing until the 14th to 16th week. For 50% of all sufferers, it ends by the 16th week of pregnancy. For the other half, it may take up to another month to get relief but some women will have morning sickness off and on for their entire pregnancy.

I am not sure if I am pregnant or just have a bug but I have been feeling sick and throwing up all day long today. I felt a little nausea on monday morning but didn’t puke (just had to spit a lot) and today I have had diarreah is that commonly associated with morning sickness? Also, even though I can’t keep anything down, I am craving pizza is this normal for a stomach bug, or could I be pregnant?

 ANSWER:
The most important questions are: Have you missed a period? When was your last one? Did you have sex mid-cycle? A period will most likely be missed beofre you feel any symptoms as severe as you are describing.
Sounds like a tummy bug to me – and you may be craving pizza because you are lacking salts from all that vomitting.
QUESTION:
Morning sickness?
Or should i say morning, afternoon and evening and all night sickness!!!!!
Im 6 weeks pregnany, not far i know, and i also know that it passes soon, but I cant eat properly, im managing about 1 1/2 slices of toast and the tiniest bit of tea! It cant be good for the baby at all! And i really need food! Im snapping at everyone because i feel sick and im hungry! Anybody got any suggestions on how to help me please!!! x
And noticed when your not feeling well…food seems to pop up everywhere!
watching tv adn things…you notice them alot more!!
Im not being sick all the time, maily just feelin it.

 ANSWER:
Whatever you eat or drink the baby will take what it needs from your body before you get a look in for your welfare, likewise, if you don’t eat or drink, baby will draw off your body, which is why often women’s hair, nails, skin etc suffer through pregnancy.

You haven’t said whether you are being sick or just feel sick. If you just feel sick maybe it’s just a case of finding something to tempt you?

Try eating a dry cracker or biscuit before you get up in the morning which will hopefully stave off the sickness a bit so that you can get a little breakfast down (even if it’s unhealthy, even chocolate or something)

I found that I felt sick all day every day but as long as I ate really regularly (and I mean literally every 30 mins to an hour) I was a bit better.

Hopefully this’ll pass at the 3 month stage ( a way to go yet I know) and the time will pass faster than you think.

If you are being sick all the time, though, you should see your doctor or midwife as you can get too dehydrated and may need to go into hospital.

Good luck, it’ll be worth it in the end, I promise.

 QUESTION:
Is it possible for “morning” sickness to kick in around the evening time?
I have no idea how far along i am. Im always puking my guts around 5-6pm is this considered morning sickness..

 ANSWER:
Yep. “Morning” is a misnomer. You can and probably will have have it at any time of the day/night, and it’s totally normal. Only time it’s not normal is if you can’t keep anything down and/or you lose 10% or more of your body weight and/or become dehydrated.

To find out how far along you are, count the weeks from the first day of your last period. You’re technically considered 4-5 weeks pregnant the day you miss your next period.

 QUESTION:
I have the worst morning/afternoon/evening sickness?
I constantly feel nauseous practically 24/7. I have 2 midterms this week for school and I don’t know what I am going to do. All i feel like doing is sleeping and not do anything. If you had experience .. How do I make this go away? Or at least how do I cope with it?

 ANSWER:
You havent told how many weeks pregnant are you. When I was in my first trimester, I was so sick all the time that I didnt seem to digest even water. My doc gave me some SOS meds which were to be taken only when I felt sick. They seemed to help to a certain degree but mostly I had to live with it. I even lost like 8 lbs and my gyn/ob was not happy. Oh yes and sleep is a big indulgence that doesnt seem to leave you at this time.

My suggestion would be take very small meals and dont keep your tummy empty for long. Keep fruits/crackers in your purse and take a bite or two when you feel you are hungry. Dont eat heavy meals. Take small and frequent ones. Listen to your body. Dont stress yourself.

Is this normal?

 ANSWER:
Absolutely, I am 10 weeks right now, and have been sick daily. Morning sickness is just the name of the nausea, because alot of women experience it when waking up, but it can come and go anytime or stay. I will feel fine one minute and the next a wave of nausea will come over me. It is just the hormones in your body that is causing this, it should pass by second trimester!! Hopefully:)

 QUESTION:
What foods could you eat with bad morning sickness?
My morning sickness is brutal: all morning, noon, evening, and night. Right now all I can (barely!) keep down is a plain shredded wheat biscuit with warm milk, chicken broth, and peeled cut-up apple. And I’m not eating much of those things. What worked for you?

 ANSWER:
At first, saltines worked until the day I realized I couldn’t swallow another bite of those dry crackers. Rice was fairly inoffensive. It got to the point with one of my pregnancies where the doctor insisted I drink Ensure every day because I couldn’t eat and was losing too much weight. Surprisingly, it was not hard to get down. I was sure the texture would get me. It may be worth trying, especially if you are not getting a lot of nutrition right now.

is it normal not to have morning sickness, even if you did with your last 2 pregnancys?
Im 7 weeks and on my 3rd preganacy. my other 2 I was hoverd over the toilet. This time I barely get nauseated, although I do feel tired all the time. My last pregnancy was 11 years ago and I am 33 now. Could it just be different because of my age or could something be wrong?

It was constant for about 4 months, and after that it subsided a little but never completely went away. With this pregnancy, I am now 15 almost 16 weeks and there was one day when I felt sick. Every other day has been great! It is completely normal. Enjoy it!!!~~~~

 ANSWER:
My doctor recommended that I don’t ever go more than 3 hours without eating something. An empty stomach will make it worse! You could also try to drink very tart lemonade or suck on sour candies. As far as medicine goes, my ob had me take a half pill of unisom (or one meltaway tab) and a vitamin B supplement. Taken together, they did help my nausea. If it is still really bad, your doctor can prescribe you zofran or another medication to take the nausea away.

Hopefully it wont last too long for you Mine lasted from 6 weeks until 16 weeks, but I know it stops sooner for a lot of people!

 QUESTION:
Can morning sickness start even before one can get a positive on a pregnancy test stick?

 ANSWER:
They should be very near one another, because it’s the hormones that pregnancy tests detect that cause morning sickness and your other early pregnancy symptoms.

That being said, tests register negative for any number of reasons – there’s not enough hormones in your system to register quite yet, expired or defective tests, not using (or having) quite enough urine for accuracy, or testing when you’re fully hydrated and most of what you’re passing is actually water.

If it’s really morning sickness and not some other issue, you should be able to register positive in the next day or two at the most. Try testing first thing in the morning when you’re dehydrated, and use a reliable name brand test with early results (one that says 5 days before you miss your period) because those are more sensitive. There’s nothing wrong with cheap testers, but they’re not as sensitive and more likely to give you a few false negatives first.

Good luck!

 ANSWER:
wait another week and take a pregnancy test, its the only way to know for sure. instead of wasting a lot of money, you can get the dollar ones that works just as well and you could pick up a couple if you wanted to test more than once, as you probably know it’s best to use first morning urine for a more accurate result. and yes, if you are pregnant, then it is common for your partner to have some of the symptoms too. its called sympathy symptoms. my fiance has been having them off and all so far during this pregnancy. he gets his random aches, and cramps and cravings. its really cute. he even felt a bit nauseous a few times. that’s the reason why we say that “we’re pregnant’, instead of saying that i’m pregnant

 ANSWER:
Your best bet is to just try one and if it doesnt work try the other! They probably both work just as well but you never know until you try. I havent had any morning sickness at all so I wouldnt know which is better. I do know that Vitamin B6 is one of the best ways to take care of morning sickness though. Hope this helps a little! Good luck!

 QUESTION:
How far along in the pregnancy until a woman gets morning sickness?
I know everyone is different and some women don’t even get morning sickness, but how far along is the average woman when she gets morning sickness?

 ANSWER:
I have read that it’s usual for it to start somewhere around 6 weeks and end around 12 weeks. However, I know a lot of people also get it earlier, some as soon as they are pregnant.

I think anytime in the first trimester is common.

 QUESTION:
I’ve got a question about morning/daytime/evening sickness…?
I’m 30 weeks pregnant, and I’ve been getting sick every single day around the same time, since last Thursday. I’ve been trying to keep food down, but sometimes it just won’t stay.
Has anyone else had this problem??? I haven’t thrown up for two months other than now. Does throwing up sometimes mean baby’s comming soon or…? I don’t know. Help please!

 ANSWER:
Sounds like morning sickness. I had it right up until delivery. Try eating smaller meals through out the day. Instead of three meals try like 6-8 small ones. Try bland foods( crackers, dry toast, broth) see if that helps the queasiness. Your body needs a constant supply of food to keep running and when your pregnant if you eat wait 7-8 hours eat wait it throws you out of whack and brings on the puking. Try the smaller meals and if it doesn’t work ask your doctor for help.

 QUESTION:
Can morning sickness last all day for a week or more?
My friend is worried she’s pregnant because she’s been puking up everything for like a week, but even if morning sickness isn’t always in the morning I don’t think it would last all day.

 ANSWER:
it can. I had it after everything I ate for the first two months. If you can find some bite sized snickers or 3 musketeers bars they might help her. When I started feeling sick I would eat one or two and it settled my stomach. My doctor said it had to do with how the proteins are in the whipped part of the candy bars. It could also just be a bug she caught, I would do a pregnancy test if she misses her cycle.

 QUESTION:
How long did your morning sickness last?
I am about 6.5 weeks and morning (and afternoon, evening) sick. It’s so tough feeling like I have the flu all day at work.

How long did your morning sickness last??

 ANSWER:
It may not happen for some people , and sometimes it lasts throughout the pregnancy for some.

For me, about 3-4 weeks. For my 3rd pregnancy, it did not happen.

See the gynae, if you are unable to take in food and water. This can be serious. They will put you on a drip to rehydrate you and clear your system. This happened on my 2nd pregnancy.
