Is there a cure for Chlamydia well yes there is and Chlamydia is very easy to treat once it has been diagnosed. Antibiotics such as Doxycycline and az 00004000 ithromycin are simply prescribed which kill the bacteria in around 7 to 10 days. It is common for women who are pregnant to be prescribed Erythromycin as this does not contain tetracycline. A 7 day course is usually enough to cure the condition.
Why though if Chlamydia can be cured so quickly and easily are we seeing rapid growth of the condition? The problem is most who have Chlamydia don’t even know they have it as this is why it is known as the asilent diseasea. It is estimated that 70-75% of women infected with Chlamydia have no symptoms and a significant proportion of men also have no symptoms.
When symptoms do appear in women they include:
a minor increase in vaginal discharge caused by an inflamed cervix.
cystitis (an inflammation of the lining of the bladder).
the need to urinate more frequently, or pain whilst passing urine.
pain during sexual intercourse or bleeding after sex.
mild lower abdominal pains.
irregular menstrual bleeding.
a painful swelling and irritation in the eyes (if they become infected).
When men have symptoms, they may experience:
- pus or watery or milky discharge from the penis
- pain or burning feeling while urinating
- swollen or tender testicles
- 40 – 70 % of infected individuals don’t have any symptoms!
If left untreated the condition is serious so if you have had unprotected sex then a test is strongly recommended! There are even many home test kits available so you don’t even have to suffer the embarrassment of visiting your doctor unless your home test is positive.

Anyone ever heard of vomiting/morning sickness while pregnant hurting your baby?
I am 8 months now and continue to vomit about once or twice a week and then it stops! I always feel so guilty for my little one in there because I fear he feels it too? help!-
ANSWER:
Nope. It doesn’t hurt the baby. The only thing that could cause problems with the baby is dehydration due to vomiting. Make sure to drink lots of fluids to make up for any that you are losing. But don’t stress about it, it has happened to billions of women throughout time and they survived as well as their healthy babies!

QUESTION:
How quick do women have morning sickness while pregnant?-
ANSWER:
Everyone’s different. With my first, I had morning sickness before I even got a positive pregnancy test. That was around 4 weeks. Then my second I started getting morning sickness at 6 weeks. With this pregnancy, it didn’t start until almost 9 weeks. Some women don’t have morning sickness in the first trimester, but get it later on in their pregnancy. Some don’t even get it at all. It’s hard to tell when it’ll come on, if at all, but in general, most get it between 6-12 weeks.

QUESTION:
What are the chances that I’ll get morning sickness while pregnant with baby#2?
I never got sick at all while pregnant with our first. He’s 15 months now and we are trying for #2! I’m wondering because If I get pregnant this cycle, then if we go visiting family 5 hours away for the holidays then I’ll be about 6 weeks pregnant. Is that too early for morning sickness to start if I get it? Will my sense of smell be greater then by then? It seemed liked everything smelled bad to me pretty soon after getting pregnant with our first…I ask because one of our relatives homes that we go to doesn’t have the best of smell because they keep it so enclosed and they are older (I don’t want to be mean but I don’t want to get sick from the smell if my sense of smell is stronger). I hope no one say’s i’m being mean. : (
why would i ask my ob what my chances are of getting sick are, i’m not wasting their time on a silly question so I’m on hear asking woman with experience. don’t answer questions if you just say to ask a doctor when it’s a question that can be simply be answered by the nice people on yahoo answers.-

Top 10 Morning Sickness Tips
From Robin Elise Weiss, LCCE,
Your Guide to Pregnancy / Birth.Being pregnant means that about 75% of women will feel queasy or actually vomit at some point in their pregnancy, usually very early. While there isn’t one magic cure, here are some of the top tips to help ease your stomach.
1) Take two crackers…Two crackers before your head leaves the pillow is old but wise advice.2) Think SmallSmaller frequent meals can also help keep an ailing belly at bay.
3) Avoidance
Avoid foods and smells that seem to trigger nausea. Sometimes this will be nearly every food or every smell.
4) Blood Sugar
Eat something high in protein before going to bed. Helps your blood sugar stay more level.
5) A Cookie a Day…
Ginger, teas, cookies, even the spice can be helpful in preventing nausea.
6) Ice, Ice, Baby
Have sips of ice water as the urge to purge strikes. Many women say that this helps them keep meals down as well.
7) Pressure
Acupressure bands can be worn like bracelets and can curb nausea while you wear them. But be forewarned as one mom says, stand next to a bucket when you take them off!
Great Breath
Peppermint, either smelling it in aromatherapy form or sipping the tea can help curb nausea. It’s also known to help with sagging energy levels.
9) Relax
Take a deep breath. It might be mind over matter sometimes. This sounds hokey but actually worked for me several times when I absolutely couldn’t afford to be ill. It didn’t curb the nausea but kept my lunch in my body.
10) Comfort Food
Eat what you can, if it stays down it is probably a good thing. Slowly add more foods to your diet as possible.*********************************************************************
Despite its name, morning sickness—nausea and vomiting that is often one of the first symptoms of pregnancy—can happen at any time of the day. Up to 90 percent of pregnant women experience this less-than-pleasant side effect, yet scientists are only beginning to understand why running to the bathroom and saltines are a rite-of-passage for moms-to-be.
Now, new research has shed some light onto morning sickness, and its roots lie in evolution.
Researchers from the University of Liverpool suggest that morning sickness may have developed over time to protect pregnant women from potentially dangerous food or from eating too much unhealthy food.
To test the theory, Dr. Craig Roberts and colleagues looked at the rates of morning sickness in different regions of the world and the typical diet of the population in that region. Ultimately, not only was “high overall food intake correlated with pregnancy sickness, but also the amount of certain types of food predicted the incidence of pregnancy sickness,” he said.In other words, it’s not just the amount of food you eat, but the type of food that seems to influence the degree of your morning sickness.
To further look at this phenomenon, Roberts then compared only those women from Europe and North America and pinpointed the types of foods that seem to trigger the symptoms of morning sickness: sugars, alcohol and meat. Additionally, women who ate high amounts of cereal-based products tended to have lower-than-average rates of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
The researchers theorize that women’s bodies have slowly developed an aversion to sugar, alcohol and meat because all of these foods contain high levels of toxins that could be potentially dangerous to a mother and her child. Cereals, on the other hand, tend to contain a very low level of toxins, so they could possibly be safer for a woman to eat. Remember, however, that these toxins may not pose the same hazard now that they did in the days of ancient man.
“While there may be no particular harm in eating, say, meat, now that we have refrigeration and ‘best before’ dates,” said Roberts,”our bodies may be pre-programmed by evolution to avoid these particular foodstuffs in the first trimester.”
If there is a particular food that seems to make your morning sickness that much worse, it may be acceptable to avoid it, but be sure to consult with your doctor before changing your diet. That way, you can be sure that you and your baby are still getting all of the vitamins and nutrients you need.

QUESTION:
Do dogs experience morning sickness while pregnant? Pregnancy signs in a boxer?
I am fostering an abonded/abused possible pregnant (still not sure if she is or is not pregnant) dog and she threw up this morning..I have been curious if she may be pregnant or not, she shows some signs, but her next check up isn’t for another month so I won’t know if she is pregnant until then..that is also the time they will spay her if she is not pregnant. She is a two year old boxer and has been possibly pregnant for a little over a month. Many people say you won’t notice any growth in the abdomen right until the end because they are a larger breed. Is there any other visible signs of a pregnant boxer? Is morning sickness true?-
ANSWER:
I have never heard of a dog having morning sickness, it doesn’t work that way. I have noticed that many will sort of “dial it down”, quieter and resting more, even early on. My girl becomes something of a “cling-on”, instead of lying beside me when sitting in a chair, she wants to lay in my lap. This is unusual behavior for my dog, and easy to pickup on. You may notice slight changes in her nipples, as they become firmer and more pink in color.Did you just get this dog? How long have you had her? I think you will notice more behavioral changes than anything else, but if you have not had her long enough to really know her normal behavior; the changes may be hard to spot.
Most dogs, large or small, don’t “show” until they are well along with the pregnancy. They need to be at least 32 days to get an accurate ultrasound, which will tell you for sure if she is pregnant. If you think the breeding could have taken place over a month ago, make an appointment now and take her in for an ultrasound. That way if she is pregnant you can start setting up to whelp a litter.
If you have other questions feel free to contact me. Good luck.

QUESTION:
More morning sickness while pregnant with your girls or boys?
Just curious as I know that is no way to tell if I am having a girl or boy, just doing it for the fun of it. I only had a few hours a day of morning sickness with my son. With this pregnancy I am having it all day long and at night too. I never seem to get a break. Anyway everyone I talk too says they were they same way when they were pregnant with a girl. Another funny thing, which also can’t be counted on is I did the Chinese gender predictor test and came up with a girl. It was right with my son, so here in a few month I guess I will find out if it is right with this one also. What’s your thoughts?
Barely over 7 weeks with number 2. Can’t wait to find out if it is a boy or girl, I hope the doctor can tell at 16 weeks like he did with my son. That would be awesome to find out if I am having a girl.-
ANSWER:
From my experience, every pregnancy is different. I have two boys right now and both pregnancies were so completely different that I was convinced I was having a girl. I was sick with my first but it went away soon and I felt great. I was soooo very sick with my second (morning & night) all throughout the whole entire pregnancy up until the day I delivered. It was very hard to be sick the whole time. I am now pregnant with baby number 3 and this pregnancy is alot like the first. I was sick in the beginning and now I feel great. We are excited to find out the sex when baby comes! Good luck to you!!!

QUESTION:
how often do you get morning sickness while pregnant?
I am 8 weeks pregnant today. I am just wanting to know how often yall got morning sickness or kinda just sick like you may lose your food. My (what I think is morning sickness) started last week. I seem to be kinda just sick in the morning….like acting like i am going to get sick in the shower. I have thrown up a few time in the morning and also 2 or 3 times at night. I seem to just feel sick during the day, off and on. I just want to see if yalls sickness was like this as well. Like, where it is not everyday.
I had a miscarriage last sept and never was sick. I am just scared to have another miscarriage, so I just want to make sure that everything is going ok. With the miscarriage I had, it was a missed miscarriage, so I did not even know I had one until I went back to the doc.-
ANSWER:
Morning sickness is differant for everyone. I had it severely to the point I was on iv’s and medications for it. Mine lasted from 5wks til I gave birth. Normally it supposed to subside around 13-15wks. The nurses always told me that the sicker you are the healthier your baby.

QUESTION:
is it normal to have pain in uper stomach while having morning sickness when pregnant?
My girlfriend just started getting morning sickness and shes about 8 weeks pregnant and said she got a pain in her upper stomach before getting sick. She was wondering if that’s normal-
ANSWER:
Stomach and throat pain is normal, what with all the muscle movement and stomach fluids being brought back up.But I do wonder if her pain may be coming from her gallbladder (I found this out when I was 16 weeks pregnant and had my first big attack). Some of my nausea was actually CAUSED by my gallbladder! Gallbladder problems are very common during pregnancy and can be brought on by certain foods. She may feel pain on the upper right side below her breast, and the pain may also wrap around her body to between her shoulder blades.
The next time she sees her DR, you may want to talk to him or her about this just to rule it out. There isn’t any need to freak out about this now, just ask to be safe!

QUESTION:
Is wine good for nausea and morning sickness while pregnant?
In 1Timothy 5:23 it says that not to drink water all the time but use wine for your stomach and other illnesses. Also, drinking a lot of alcohol during pregnancy is obviously taboo and not supposed to happen, but if you have one mouthful of red wine when you feel nauseated, will it honestly affect the baby as much as binge drinking and getting wasted at a party would? Just wondering because I hear it is a life saver…
A large study examined 400,000 women in the U.S., all of whom had consumed alcohol during pregnancy. Not a single case of fetal alcohol syndrome occurred and no adverse effects on children were found when consumption was under 8.5 drinks per week. 3A review of research studies found that fetal alcohol syndrome only occurs among alcoholics. The evidence is clear that there is no apparent risk to a child when the pregnant woman consumes no more than one drink per day. 4
A study of moderate drinking during pregnancy found no negative effects. The researchers suggested that one drink per day provides a significant margin of safety, although they did not encourage drinking during pregnancy. 5-
ANSWER:
I know that some doctors say it is okay to have an occassional glass of wine during the second or third trimester, but it is not worth the risk and I don’t know of any doctor who would say it is okay during the first trimester. This is one of the most important trimester where all of the vital organs are forming.

QUESTION:
What happens if you dont have morning sickness when you are pregnant but you know that you are pregnant?
Is something wrong with you if you dont have morning sickness while you are pregnant but you know for a fact that you are pregnant? Will you still have morning sickness eventhough it hasnt happened in the first couple of weeks ?-
ANSWER:
Not every woman will get morning sickness. Although most women will have it, there are the lucky ones that don’t get it. Just like some women will have back pain, headaches, etc, just b/c you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you absolutely will experience those things. That doesn’t mean there is anything wrong, you should be happy that you aren’t getting it b/c that is horrible. There is a chance you could still get it, some women will have it off and on their entire pregnany or may just have it a few times. Just enjoy the time you do have w/o it

QUESTION:
What are your thoughts about smoking marijuana while pregnant, due to morning sickness?-
ANSWER:
I think it can be comparable to smoking cigarettes while pregnant except that marijuana carries The added benefit that can help with morning sickness in addition you don’t smoke nearly the amount of m,marijuana as you smoke cigarettes. It kept me from loosing more than 15 lbs during my first trimester. I couldn’t keep anything down, though not from a lack of trying, I got so tired of throwing up and being queasy. The way I see it, there are worse things you could do when you are pregnant and it can actually help with the morning sickness.Thumbs down me all you want just remember I am not telling you how to live your life or raise your kids.
Edit: My baby was not under weight, she is absolutely fine. I dare any of you to actually find proof that it negatively effects the outcome. An actual study that proves it. http://www.medicalcannabis.com/pregnancy.htm

QUESTION:
Morning sickness…I’m just wondering how soon did morning sickness start while you were pregnant? and?
how often did you feel morning sickness, was it everyday? Thanks in advance!
-
ANSWER:
Mine started between 4 and 6 weeks pregnant and lasted until about 16 weeks. I was sick all day long, not just in the morning. However, I am also prone to hyperemesis so I’m slightly abnormal. Most women should experience sickness around 6 weeks and be feeling much better by 12.

QUESTION:
Medicine safe for morning sickness while breastfeeding?
Is there any safe prescription to take while breastfeeding and pregnant that would help with morning sickness? I am waiting on my dr’s office to call back, but sometimes drs do not always have the best advice. Do you know what medications would be safe to take while breastfeeding for severe morning sickness? I have tried all natural remedies and nothing has worked.
I am currently taking a natural morning sickness supplement that has B-6, ginger, and red rasberry tea in it but it has not helped at all.-
ANSWER:
Have you tried taking a Ginger pill? Its known to be one of the best motion sickness remedies. I mention that because those sea sickness wrist bands help a lot of women with morning sickness (they didnt help me) so ginger might as well. Be sure to ask your doctor about any medication or suplement prior to use though =)-Edit: Thats no fun, I had no luck with anything for my sickness as well. I read something about a newly medically approved morning sickness medication while pregnant, which I would think if its safe to a baby while inside, it would be while breastfeeding but im not sure of the name. Hopefully your doctor will have more information or something for you to try =(

QUESTION:
is it possible to not get morning sickness at all..while pregnant?
i’m six or seven weeks now.. and i haven’t gotten it.
before i missed my period though..i felt nauseated a few times..and puked once.
but it went away.
was that morning sickness?
and does it usually come back?-
ANSWER:
Pregnancy is subject to two extremes and everything in between. From having a whole array of symptoms to having none at all. It all depends on the woman and the pregnancy. The same woman could have different symptoms for each pregnancy. It all depends on what affect the pregnancy has on your body. There is no way to know for sure. You may never have morning sickness or it may kick in later. Good luck

QUESTION:
Is it normal to have morning sickness in the morning at around 10 P.M. while pregnant ?
Im pregnant and I’ve been having lots of sickness . Its getting to the point where I can’t even look at food without wanting to get sick . I get sick around 6 A.M. and around 10 P.M. and this is almost every night . Is this normal?
Sory while i was typing the question i wasnt paying attention , morning isnt supposed to be in there twice.-
ANSWER:
Yes, I am 37 weeks pregnant now, and for about the first 4-5 months I had morning sickness all the time! It helps to at least have something in your stomach so when you do get sick its not as bad. The thing that really helped me was Peppermints it really helps to sooth your stomach and it kind of calms your breathing helping you relax more. I hope you start feeling better soon. It does get better, doesnt seem like it now, but it will clear up
Hang in there

QUESTION:
Morning sickness – smarter baby?
I just read a report that claims new studies suggest mothers who experienced morning sickness while pregnant may have a baby with a higher IQ, I find it sceptical, just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thankshttp://www.leaderpost.com/Life/Morning+sickness+leads+smarter+kids+Study/1523961/story.html
-
ANSWER:
Haha.I was sick all the time, every day, up until week 15. Noah is going to be a genius at this rate!
It seems as if there is a study out there for everything pointing one way or another. All it is is to make people feel better about what they are going through. The study itself said “The difference “wasn’t clinically very important,” he says. “It was a few points of IQ, and other functions such as language development.” So obviously it’s not on a large scale.

QUESTION:
Is it normal to be dizzy while pregnant?
I’m 11 weeks and this morning is the first time I’ve experienced dizziness while pregnant. My morning sickness has gotten much better so I know it’s not because I’m dehydrated or have low blood sugar. I can’t think of any other reason for the dizziness except maybe pregnancy related hormones?
Is there anything I can do to not be dizzy? Have any of you experienced this? How did you deal with it?
-
ANSWER:
it could be hypoglycemia (low blood sugars). I was diagnosed with it yesterday and now it all makes so much sense!! Average person is 90-120 during pregnancy and yesterday even after eating a piece of candy i was bottomed out at 52. You should get yours checked. All I have to do is eat every 2-3 hours to keep myself from feeling odd. Like dizzy, weak, tired, irritable…. all signs of hypoglycemia.

QUESTION:
‘Morning Sickness’?
When does the sickness start in pregnancy? before or after? and has anyone not had any morning sickness while pregnant?-
ANSWER:
Morning sickness usually is present(if at all present) in the first two months of pregnancy.
Many women do not have morning sickness while pregnancy, but some do and some just feel sick, but don’t actually get sick.
If you are wondering whether or not you will get morning sickness I suggest asking other female family members who have children if they experienced morning sickness during pregnancy, such as your mother, aunts, or your grandmother, and as always your doctor can answer any questions you have concerning the matter.
Good Luck!
Jessica

QUESTION:
Pregnant while using a condom? Negative PT but morning sickness symptoms?
My husband and I have been using a condom as BC since my daughter was born 3 1/2 months ago. I am also nursing my daughter still and haven’t even gotten a regular period back (my last one happened more or less a month ago). However, the last few days I’ve been feeling sick in the morning and this morning, the fridge smells hit me full blast (while pregnant with my other 2 girls I had MS similar to this). However, I took a pregnancy test this morning and it showed negative. Can I be having morning sickness before a test even shows I’m pregnant? Has anyone you know gotten pregnant while using a condom and nursing?-
ANSWER:
It’s unlikely that you’re having MS with a negative pregnancy test, but anything is possible. Wait a few days and take another test. I had similar symptoms last month before my period was even late and it turned out to be a stomach bug. I wasn’t pregnant, but I was sick only in the morning and couldn’t handle certain smells. Try some ginger ale with real ginger in it or try chewing some dried ginger. Anything with ginger in it really helps with the sick feeling, no matter what it is. I’ve known people who got pregnant while nursing, but never while nursing and using a condom. Good luck!

I am waiting on my dr’s office to call back, but sometimes drs do not always have the best advice. Do you know what medications would be safe to take while breastfeeding for severe morning sickness? I have read about Zofran, but I was not sure if it was safe while nursing.DYOT: I am in the US… right now I am taking a natural morning sickness supplement that they sell at the health food store and it is B-6, ginger, and red raspberry, but it is doing no good. I am going to google what you mentioned.
-
ANSWER:
According to Thomas Hale, who wrote Medications and Mother’s Milk, Zofran is considered safe while breastfeeding. You can ask your doctor about it. Many women find it very helpful for nausea during pregnancy.http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppbreastfeed/?msg=114695.1
