Do you think 00004000 you are pregnant? Want to know what are very early pregnancy symptoms? These can vary from woman to woman. Some very basic things which could lead you to believe that you are pregnant are things such as the most obvious missed period. Below are some very early pregnancy symptoms that are most common in women.

Missed periods is a good indication of pregnancy and is the best known symptom of pregnancy but of course further tests would be needed to confirm as there are many different reasons for missed periods including stress, etc. This can be misleading as there are many factors which could cause you to have a missed period or irregular period such as stress, overproduction of progesterone and estrogen hormones, among other causes that can delay or stop this natural process.

Morning sickness and pregnancy have often been thought to go hand in hand but this can also be misleading. If you experience legitimate morning sickness then it would be expected around 4 – 6 weeks but can not be 100% accurate. Nausea & morning sickness occurs within 50% to 95% of all women.

Pregnancy and strange food cravings. Can be false as the reason could be pregnancy or could be as simple as your body may be lacking certain vitamins and minerals, etc. Unusual strange food cravings usually occur within the first trimester.

Cramping can occur within 8 – 10 days after fertilization. This is quit normal. If you have had a record of previous miscarriages then perhaps worth consulting a doctor if cramping occurs.

Fatigue can occur very early in pregnancy, even with days after unprotected sex. Drink plenty of water, something that you should do through our pregnancy.

Phantom pregnancies or false pregnancies can happen often. This happens most often with couples who are trying to have a baby and are very keen to get pregnant.

As can be seen, there are many different misleading signs of pregnancy. The best pregnancy symptom to tell if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test which are very accurate.

  6. QUESTION:
How early does morning sickness occur?
I want to know if I’m pregnant as soon as possible. I just got off my period a week ago, and had unprotected sex today and yesterday. Would morning sickness occur in the next week if I do get pregnant?

    • ANSWER:
All pregnancies are different. Mourning sickness can occur within a week of conception or you could never have it. Most women don’t suspect they are pregnant until they miss thier period. 8. QUESTION:
When’s the soonest that morning sickness occurs??
I haven’t taken a test yet; but I noticed that over the past 2 days everything I’ve smelt or ate has been horrid…nauseatingly awful.

    • ANSWER:
I was just on a cruise less than 2 weeks after ovulation, and I was smoking a social cigarrette when I suddenly became absolutely repulsed by it. I put it out in the middle and started to feel sick like I had with my first child. I got home from the cruise the next day–and had a positive test result. So it was about 3 weeks after my last monthly period, and one week or so after conception. The sickness only got worse after that, and I’m 6 weeks today and just started vomitting. So it can happen early. But if it’s happening that ealry it SHOULD show up on a preg test–so go get one, girl!!

  9. QUESTION:
In how many weeks does morning sickness occur?
I know morning sickness differs from woman to woman and occurs during the first trimester. Some woman have it at the beginning of their pregnancy while others have it towards the end. Does anybody know how many “weeks” in do pregnant woman start having morning sickness? I’m between 2 to 3 weeks pregnant and I had bought this new dish soap, which the smell is causing me to feel very nauseous and feel like throwing up. Is this part of pregnancy? Please explain. Also, let’s say I do throw up – does it impact my child that is growing inside of me? Like, will I hurt him/her if I throw up due to morning sickness? Please explain. Thanks

    • ANSWER:
Hi Peaches…No, you won’t hurt your baby.. When I felt ill, I would take deep breaths with my head high. When I would first wake up, I would have saltine crackers next to my bed so that I can nibble on them before I raise my head. See, you get sick feeling cuz you don’t have anything in your stomach. It is very normal to feel this way. I also had munchies in my car so when I felt the tightness in my throat, I would snack on crackers in my car. Last, you are at the right time for feeling sick. There is another thing that you can do to prevent the sick feeling….suck on ginger or lemons. You will feel great! Remember, follow the above and you will do fine….I did. :D

  10. QUESTION:
When morning sickness starts, does it occur everyday?
I think my wife is pregnant because morning sickness occurred 2 weeks after possible conception. Is there any general way to determine pregnancy by morning sickness? If this only happened once, does this mean shes not pregnant or just having low sugar levels? Is it supposed to occur almost everyday if you do have it, then you know your pregnant? Please really stick to answering my questions not informing me about anything else. Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
Morning sickness does not have to occur everyday. In some cases it does. In my case it was very rare…maybe 3 times in the 1st trimester…that’s it. But like I said some people experience it every morning.
      good luck! :)

  11. QUESTION:
How long after conception does morning sickness occur?
I last had sex the 13th of March.
    its now April 4th.
would I being having morning sickness?
or is it too early for that?

    • ANSWER:
yes but it can still come,i got pregnant same time as you,i have been having it for 3 weeks now. note though that not all women get it,so you might be one of the lucky ones. they say it begins 5-6 week, some have had it sooner or later than that. best of luck. BABY SAFETY DUST

  12. QUESTION:
How early after getting pregnant does morning sickness occur?
I highly highly highly doubt I am pregnant, but there’s something going on with my stomach! I feel a lot of pressure and am very dizzy/nauseous a lot, almost as if I feel drunk at random times. Just wondering what the earliest time frame of morning sickness would be….days, weeks, and/or months?? I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

    • ANSWER:
Morning sickness begins around week 6 of pregnancy, peak during week 8 or 9 and wane after week 13. More instant remedies and info at http://usefulinfomorningsickness.blogspot.com/

  13. QUESTION:
does morning sickness occur right after having sex with someone? or it takes a week or so?
our body’s reaction takes place so fast but here’s the thing.. when two persons make love and the woman isn’t sure about herself if she’ll get pregnant right away or not, when does morning sickness exactly occur? and when it does, does it follow that she has to suspect herself for pregnancy?

    • ANSWER:
No, it could not happen right after having sex…if you got sick that soon it was from something else. The egg needs to be fertilized, and then implant in the uterus…which can take 7-10 days after sex. Even then, it is so tiny that there is not enough going on to to make you sick. I think the norm for morning sickness hitting is around 5-6 weeks pregnant, which would be 3-4 weeks after the sex. I’m pretty sure it is possible to have it earlier though, probably around one or two weeks after sex…as soon as the embryo has implanted. I wasn’t sick until about week 6 or 7, but was super tired and had bad cramping starting about 1 and a half to 2 weeks after conception. And if a woman is going to get morning (or night, or all day) sickness, it won’t matter if she knows or thinks she is pregnant or not, it would just happen.

  14. QUESTION:
What is the point of morning sickness?
I was just wondering what the benefits of morning sicknes are. I’ve never been pregnant myself so perhaps I’m missing something but surely it can’t benefit mother or baby in any way since the mother brings back food which she and the baby surely need. Can you enlighten me as to why morning sickness occurs and what the benefits of it are? Thanks for your answers:-)

    • ANSWER:
I don’t believe there are any benefits as such, morning sickness is caused by your hormone production going into overdrive and it makes you nauseous, and you don’t necessarily vomit so it doesn’t mean you or your baby wouldn’t be getting enough nutrients from the food you’re eating.
I found that more fatty/greasy foods made me more nauseous than foods that were ‘good for me’ so maybe it’s your body telling you what foods you should be eating.

  15. QUESTION:
How early can morning sickness occur?
I think I might be pregnant and after doing some research I figured out that if I am, I’m 3 weeks. Within the past week I’ve been so nauseous…it feels a lot like motion sickness. I haven’t vomited but it has also brought on headaches and back aches. It’s too soon before my period to take a test, but I don’t know…I just have a very strong feeling that I am. Mothers intuition? I don’t know. Most websites I have looked at say that morning sickness starts around 6 weeks. Can it be earlier?

    • ANSWER:
i got mine at 4 weeks but i took 2 prego test and they both came out (-).. i had my son 2 1/2 months ago

  16. QUESTION:
How often does morning sickness occur and how early in the pregnancy?
Two days ago I threw up at about 630 in the am and I hAvnt had anything sense except feeling queesy around certain smells is it suppose to happen everyday? And how early does it start if I’m trying to figure out when I conceived

    • ANSWER:
For most people it starts around 6-7 weeks along and it can last throughout the whole pregnancy, but usually stops around the 2nd trimester (13 weeks). Its not just “morning” sickness either, mine was morning/afternoon/evening…not always at the same time.

  17. QUESTION:
How many of you had morning sickness with first pregnancy?
Just trying to see if morning sickness is more common that not in first pregnancies, also, does anyone have any idea why morning sickness actually occurs? Thanks

    • ANSWER:
I had morning sickness throughout the first 6 months of my first pregnancy. It was pretty bad. I was nauseous quite a bit. I threw up, but not that often. I am now on my second pregnancy (19 wks) and still get nauseous but (thank goodness) have only thrown up once! And sorry to say, I am not sure why, exactly, we get it.
I do have to add a comment here, though. I think that perhaps more women who have had morning sickness are going to answer this question than those who have not – possibly skewing your poll. If you haven’t experienced morning sickness, you might not even “click” on this question because it doesn’t relate to you. Just trying to account for any possible inaccuracies in your data search.

  18. QUESTION:
When do the first symptoms of morning sickness occur?
My girlfriend thinks she is pregnant and we are both only 14 and kind of freaking out, any help would be great. She has been getting some of the symptoms (high and low temperatures, tired, loss of appetite, nausea/fainting). It was only the other week though and I don’t know if she just has a virus or what?

    • ANSWER:
      Maybe she has mono.

if she is pregnant, take a pregnancy test

  19. QUESTION:
how many weeks does it take to start feeling morning sickness?
I was just wondering what week morning sickness usually occurs?

    • ANSWER:
I had morning sickness from 6 weeks up until my tenth week. It sure felt like a lot more than that!

  20. QUESTION:
How soon in a pregnancy can morning sickness occur?
    Like, in weeks?

    • ANSWER:
It depends, everyones different. It could happen 3 days after you get pregnant or 3 weeks, or it may not happen at all!

  21. QUESTION:
Why do women get morning sickness?
Did morning sickness occur to humans in nature? Does it serve some evolutionary advantage? Or, is it something environmental – Is it more to do with modern diet and/or exposure to chemicals etc? Do women today, from all different communities, experience morning sickness?

    • ANSWER:
I don’t know but some studies show that it can be linked to a particular level of a certain hormone – and that while it’s unpleasant during the pregnancy it’s actually better for the woman overall as levels of this hormone can affect their chances of getting breast cancer and of having a healthy pregnancy.

So in theory (as nasty as it is) it’s actually a good indicator of health. I didn’t have any morning sickness (my sister used to get it all day long) but thankfully we both had healthy babies, although she had a labour of less than 5 hours and I had one of almost 50 hours…. pffft! lol

  22. QUESTION:
Why does morning sickness occur in the morning? Just from interest?
Is it morning? or after you’ve been sleeping? What causes it?

    • ANSWER:
Morning sickness is just what it’s called. It can occur anytime of the day. Doctor’s believe it’s due to the pregnancy hormone HGC and the degree in which you suffer from morning sickness boils down to how well your individual body deals with the change. Since this hormone is only present during pregnancy, your body can’t build up a ‘defense’ to it and get used to it prior to pregnancy.

  23. QUESTION:
How early can Morning sickness occur?
    Anytime?
Thanks guys. I woke up today feeling very sick, i thought it may of been hunger pains but i ate, and it just made it worse. I have been told I cannot take a pregnancy test until 22nd, because i took the morning after pill. Also, i’ve been waking up really early like 7 am and i don’t usually get up until after midday!

Do u think i could be pregnant?

    • ANSWER:
Most drs and websites will tell you it doesn’t occur until 4-6 weeks after implantation, but i experienced it after 1 week! And it never went away…24/7 all 40 weeks! good luck!

  24. QUESTION:
Why does “morning sickness” occur around a particular time during the day?
I get my morning sickness around 5:00p.m. everyday. Why does that happen, and why does it not happen during the rest of the day?

    • ANSWER:
I’m not sure why as mine lasted all day and was triggered by smell, especially freshly baked bread. Ugh, what used to smell so sweet still makes me queasy. Ha! But, if I were you, since you know it’s going to hit around 5 pm, start eating an hour or so beforehand. I found I got the most queasy if I had an empty stomach so protein and things that last awhile worked best (oatmeal, yogurt, eggs etc.). Congratulations and good luck!

  25. QUESTION:
How long after you conceive does morning sickness occur?

    • ANSWER:
I hate to say this in nearly every post… but… every woman and every pregnancy is different! Some can start to feel queasy right away… some are sick morning noon and night for the whole 9 months… some don’t feel a moment of sickness… some women are sick with one pregnancy and not at all with another. What I can tell you is that the pregnancy hormone hcg is in it’s peak between weeks 8 and 12… and that is the time frame that is most common for women to feel the most sickness. Personally, I would generally start feeling it around 6 weeks, but it would be the worst between 8-12 weeks, then gradually taper off, and then just feeling sick here and there when my stomache is empty for the rest of the pregnancy.

  26. QUESTION:
When did you start experiencing morning sickness?
Hi, I just want to see how long it can take or how quick morning sickness can occur.

    Thanks :)

    • ANSWER:
Right before/shortly after I found out I was pregnant (6 weeks or so). I only had it for a few days and it stopped. Every pregnancy is different, in that some will never have morning sickness and others will have it their entire pregnancy. More commonly, it starts around 5-6 weeks and ends sometime in your second trimester (usually the beginning).

  27. QUESTION:
Please describe morning sickness,I think I might be pregnant?
I had severe pain in my lower belly yesterday afternoon. It lasted 2 hours.I felt really sick and I couldn`t walk.Today i felt sick too, but there was no pain in the belly, just sickness. I didn`t vomit, but I wasn`t far from it either. If I am pregnant it would be only 2 weeks.Does morning sickness occur this early in pregnancy?I am also hungry all the time?Do you think this might be a sign of pregnancy?

    • ANSWER:
Its different for every woman. My mom threw up 24/7 for the first 3 months. so far I have just felt naseusated all day, but haven’t thrown up.

  28. QUESTION:
Does morning sickness come and go?
This is my second pregnancy and I am only 5 weeks along, but I have been having morning sickness off and on for about 2 weeks now. I didn’t have it all during my first pregnancy. I guess I always thought that you got morning sickness at the same time every day …and sometimes I do. My morning sickness usually kicks in on the afternoons and evenings. But the other day I didn’t get it at all but then it resumed the next day. Does morning sickness occur at different times of the day and come and go on some days too?

    • ANSWER:
It certainly can. You’d be better off asking your doctor about it, but I experienced the same things. Most of the time, I found that if I ate certain foods, it would trigger the nausea. I just had to learn to stay away from certain foods at certain times.
Sometimes, nausea can be triggered by your blood sugar levels. Have you been tested or have a history of gestational diabetes? If there’s a history, you may want to arrange for a nutritionist to select a meal plan that’s good for you and baby.

      Good luck to you!

  29. QUESTION:
    When does morning sickness occur?
I am pregnant with my 2nd child and I am about 5 weeks along. My son just turned 1 so I just can’t remember when I started to feel sick. I know that morning sickness can be a sign of a healthy preg. but I have not felt any of it yet. So far, this is very diff. than the first time which I also know is normal. When should I start to feel sick, roughly and is there reason for concern if I don’t?

    • ANSWER:
If you dont feel any morning sickness, count yourself lucky. Thats perfectly normal.

  31. QUESTION:
how long does it take for morning sickness to occur in pregnancy?
i think i might be pregnant..i only had sex a couple of days ago but im already feeling nauseated and sick. is this possible? and also my period came on monday to.. could i still be pregnant?

    • ANSWER:
i didn’t start to feel sick until i was 8-9 weeks pregnant and i haven’t felt it since….. around your time, i had a very mild yeast infection and a couple days after that, my nails started to crack and chip…. everyone is different

  32. QUESTION:
When exactly does morning sickness occur?
and when can i have a pregnancy test? cn i have it as soon as a week after i had sex??
THANKS GUYS! ur responses helped me alot.. god bless u

    • ANSWER:
It really depends on the woman.

My sister never had more than occasional small bouts with morning sickness (3 pregnancies)

I, on the other hand, had it from Week 1 all the way to birth with both my pregnancies.

      So it really depends.

If you are sick and think you may be prego, take the test, but realize that over the counter tests are only so accurate. You would be better off waiting for the missed period.

  33. QUESTION:
How long after implantation bleeding does morning sickness generally occur?

    • ANSWER:
      HEY KAILA HOPE THIS HELPS

      Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.
      Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

      Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

      Fatigue/Tiredness:
Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.

      Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.

      Backaches:
Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.

      Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.

      Frequent Urination:
Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

      Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

      Food Cravings:
While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

  34. QUESTION:
update and morning sickness related to girl babies?
    Hi everyone!

Just letting you all know that I had a doctors appointment and am currently 10 weeks pregnant with our second baby who is due April 5 (Noah was born January 5 this year)

With Noah, I never experienced any morning sickness at all, however with this pregnancy I have been a little naseous… Girlfriends of mine have told me that morning sickness sometimes occurs with girl babies more so than boys.

Is this true? I am just curious

    • ANSWER:
not necessarily true. it has to do with hormones and how your body reacts to them.

i had horrible morning sickness with my son. all day every day the entire time. before i found out what the sex was, my mom was convinced that he was a girl. nope, definitely a boy! he will be 3 next month.

i am 19 weeks 4 days with #2, and will hopefully find out the gender on monday, and i have not been sick at all. not even once. absolutely nothing. i have felt completely normal. my gut tells me, this is a girl.

my best friend is also expecting, and just found out she is having a girl, and had a little bit of morning sickness, but none with her son.

remember, no 2 pregnancies are the same. even in the same person. i am experiencing that now. this pregnancy and the one with my son has been like night and day.

  44. QUESTION:
How many days after conception does vomitting begin..and does morning sickness really occur in the morning?

    • ANSWER:
I was around 4 weeks when I started feeling sick every night around the same time. I wasn’t throwing up but I had alot of nausea and extremely painful heartburn. It was one of the things that prompted me to take a test (along with a missed period) I’ve heard of it happening as early as 3 weeks. Mine started at around 4 weeks, and not in the morning but actually at night. I am 8 weeks now and still have severe nausea at night… I also have nausea all day, its just worse at night, I dont have the heartburn anymore, but now I’ve upgraded to throwing up (which happens for me in the morning and at night). It’s called “morning sickness” but you can have it at any time.

    morning sickness during implantation?
I had lite bleeding for about 2 days think it was implantation bleeding. In the middle of it I got really nauseous while stirring rice. I know that morning sickness usually occurs after implantation as the result of HCG so is it possible to start having morning sickness during implantation?

    • ANSWER:
It is possible that there was implantation and then the next day was when you had the spotting. So it is possible that on day 2 of bleeding you had already had the baby implanted for 24hrs….. which for some women is enough time for symptoms to start.
