Do you think you’re pregnant after a one night stand? Are you paying the price through an act of stupidity brought on by lust? Are you worried sick what your partner, if he is still around, or what your parents will say. Have you been a naughty girl and regret not having been good? Well it happens to the best of us at times to be a stupid so you’re not alone. First we have to be definitely sure that you are pregnant. Positive results will mean you have to tell your parents or partner so you have the support you need when making any decisions. These can include your position in life, and is it enough to support and bring up a baby. Other considerations are abortion and adoption. These options do not come with pleasantries, but absolute necessary issues. Speak to your parents as soon as possible so you can talk about your pregnancy. They may not be happy, but what mom and dad ever are at a time like this, and why would you expect them to be any other way.
There is no true determined age for first time sexual intercourse, but if you’re under the age of what the law states, as to what it sees the reasonable age for sexual intercourse, it can seriously change matters. The legal age does make you ready for sex, and we have proof of this after you falling pregnant. Readiness would have had you prepared for the outcome of unprotected sex. Age of consent for having sexual intercourse in most states of US ranges between 16 and 18. In the UK it’s 16. If you’re reading this and not pregnant, but fear it maybe on the cards if you don’t act responsible, then below are irresponsible statements you need to ignore if uttered by your partner
But I thought you loved me
All your friends are doing it so why not you
I will love you more
You’ll have to do it sometime, so no time like the present
I’ll only put it in for a second, “we’ve heard that before”
Your first sexual experience can have you anxious about losing your virginity but more so when it’s lost, and you find your pregnant. If you are not sure that you are pregnant then first we need to clarify this.
You miss a period (menstruation)
Feeling tired and don’t have much energy
Vomiting (morning sickness)
Food cravings
Weeing often
Tender or swollen breasts
These signs do not necessarily mean you are pregnant. There may be other reasons why you are experiencing them so have you doctor examine you. If you’re GP has brought back positive results that you are pregnant then your head maybe in a spin, sit down and relax and think of what you need to do, or better still ask the doctor. If you haven’t seen a doctor yet and still not sure if you have conceived, then there are other ways to tell if you are pregnant.
A home pregnancy test can be purchased from a chemist. Results are instant. A positive result is more likely to be correct than a negative one. It may well be in you and your unborn baby’s best welfare to call into a family planning centre/clinic, Yes it may seem like it is too late to speak to these people “now” but nonetheless not too late to easy matters and know what lies ahead. Medical advisors are able to talk to you about the best way to look after yourself during the pregnancy. Any uncertainties regarding your pregnancy will be assured by these people telling you of your options. Your local phone directory or yellow pages should list the doctors and family planning centre/clinic in your area. If your concerns are not in relation to pregnancy and to a sexually transmitted disease then the earlier it is treated the better. Untreated sex diseases can have serious consequences.
British statistics on STIs are based on analysis at genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinics.
UK research showed 10.8% of males and 12.6 % of females aged 16-44 were treated for sexually transmitted infections.
Over twelve months ago a report stated, 397,990 new sexually transmitted infection diagnoses at GUM clinics in Great Britain showed an increase of 63% in 1998.
There was a 6% rise between 2006 and 2007. A little number maybe, but a number nonetheless with huge affect.
The Genital Chlamydia infection scarily rose the highest in numbers. Between 1998 and 2007 genital Chlamydia increased by 150%, genital herpes by 51%and syphilis by 1,828%.
Gonorrhea
The male can differ from the female if they have this disease (no symptoms.) Nevertheless in them that do have symptoms they normally appear 2 to 5 days after infection. Discomfort includes a burning sensation when peeing, or a white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis. Gonorrhea can cause painful or swollen testicles. For women the symptoms can be easily confused with a bladder or vaginal infection. Typical signs include pain and burning feel when weeing, increased vaginal discharge, or vaginal bleeding between periods. Women with gonorrhea are at risk of developing serious complications from the infection. Symptoms of rectal infection in both genders may include discharge, anal itching, soreness, bleeding, or painful bowel movements.
Genital warts
If you are infected then you can expect to see pinkish/white small lumps or clustered cauliflower-shaped lumps around the genitals. Remember not to panic till your condition has been determined by a GP as you may well be worrying over little or nothing. Warts are known to form on or around the penis, the scrotum, the thighs or the anus. Female genital warts usually grow around the vulva or inside the vagina and on the cervix. If a woman has warts on her cervix, this can cause slight bleeding or, less commonly show, an unusual colored vaginal discharge. Although not a regular known condition for pain, it however brings itch.
Genital herpes
Symptoms usually appear 2 to 7 days after exposure and last 2 to 4 weeks. Both sexes can have one or more symptoms, including:
Itchiness or tingling around the genitals including the anus.
Small fluid-filled blisters and when burst leaves painful sores.
Pain when urine stream oozes over open sores.
Headaches.
Lower backache.
Swollen glands or fever.
You have to be careful if you find you carry both baby and an infection. STDs can cause cervical and other cancers, chronic hepatitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and other complications. Genital infections can be passed from a pregnant woman to the baby before, during, or after the baby’s birth. Some STDs (like syphilis) cross the placenta and infect the baby while it is in the uterus (womb). Other STDs (like gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis B, and genital herpes) can be transmitted from the mother to the baby during delivery as the baby passes through the birth canal. These are frightening issues, however not as scary as bringing up a baby alone.

QUESTION:
Hey what can i take for morning sickness? I feel really dizzy and cannot handle smell of food?
Especially cooked food. My morning sickness goes on for the entire day, not just “morning”. Any natural remedies? or anything to take for it? Im still working and its making it very hard.-
ANSWER:
well, the one thing I know is keep saltine crackers by your bed. When you first wake up (before you move) eat a few crackers. Wait a few minutes and rise slowly. Feel better. That is a bummer. But it will pass. I heard that morning sickness is a sign of a healthy baby!

ANSWER:
Good morning dear! I started my morning sickness with my son at about 3 weeks and my cravings at 4 weeks or so. I just wanted dairy all of the time like cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. I normally can’ t tolerate dairy. But during pregnancy I can. It’s strange. With my daughter morning sickness started right away and I know i was pregnant with her before i even got a positive test back. But I didn’t craving anything with her until’ I was 6 or 7 weeks. All I wanted then was cheerios. Best of luck! Hope this was helpful

QUESTION:
Morning sickness and food aversion?
I’m 7 weeks and my morning sickness just hit me on Wednesday. Since then I haven’t been able to keep anything down. Saltines, gingerale, chips, light sandwiches, cereal, oatmeal, anything. It always comes right back up. I’m trying to rack my brain for ideas on what to eat that will hopefully sit in my stomach but the thought of eating any foods just seem nauseating…Any advice?
-
ANSWER:
I’ve heard of people keeping lemons near them and sniffing them when nauseous. I used lemonade and it worked. I also started to drink carnation instant breakfast or chocolate milk because I could keep it down and it had protein so I wasn’t starving.I am not usually holistic, but I used sea-bands the whole time i was nauseous, and they really worked…they provide accupressure in a spot that controls nausea for people with sea sickness, but they work well for some people in pregnancy. I still threw up everytime I brushed my teeth, but I could keep down my lunch and dinner…
Make sure you’re not losing too much weight, some is totally normal, and try to stay as hydrated as possible….
Good luck…and for most people, this passes around 12weeks…
ps I found that I could not take my Prenatal in the morning…I took it with lunch because it made me sick. And I actually kept gingerale, covered, and saltines or gingersnaps by my bed at night and sipped and snacked before sitting up fully and it seemed to help a little bit

QUESTION:
What is the best food to eat with morning sickness?
9weeks pregnant. morning sickness
what’s the best thing to eat.
I don’t like fish or anything fishy.
thankyouu x-
ANSWER:
who do you think you are? miss high and mighty on your pedestal up there….
i DO NOT take advice from people who are 9 weeks pregnant!! like you have a right to tell me only responsible people who have been to school are able to be good mothers…. oh love, you have a rude awakening coming your way, in about 31 weeks. if you don’t miscarry before then, that is…
most people have enough smarts about them, to not announce a ‘successful, viable’ pregnancy until after the crucial 12 weeks has passed.
and to be passing judgment like you did!? LMAO!! you are inexperienced, and stupid

QUESTION:
Work around food, morning sickness?
I work in a bakery. And I am about 7 1/2-8 weeks pregnant, and have been experiencing morning sickness. Mostly when I have to wake up early, like today I had to work at 6 am, and it seems to upset my stomach more. At work I found myself having extreme nausea and throwing up twice at work. I guess my question is, do you think I should be at work if I am throwing up? I mean I know its not from the flu, so there isn’t any sickness germs to worry about after returning and being around the food..but still it seems gross to me?..and its very uncomfortable throwing up in a public bathroom if people are coming in and out of stalls around me.-
ANSWER:
As long as you’re washing your hands etc. you’re not “contagious” as you said, but yes it can be uncomfortable if all that is available is a public restroom!
You could see if working a later schedule is an option; or try some other tricks to curb your nausea such as:
eat a small amount before you even get out of bed
eat regularly – at least every two hours – but just a small amount
drink plenty of water
try sea bands or another pressure point/accupressure wrist band or ear clamp

QUESTION:
Does morning sickness feel like your food is in your throat?
It has been six years since I was pregnant, so I don’t remember exactly.
I have had it for about 5 days, I rarely get heartburn.
Hey dummy, if I didn’t swallow my food I think I would notice it in my mouth. Some people are stupid.-
ANSWER:
That varies…if you are gagging, it is very possible that the food has went from your stomach up into your throat. Morning sickness can be anything from throwing up when you put a toothbrush in your mouth to being sensitive to smells and throwing up…I am 5 months pregnant and have experienced it all the way through so far, lucky, eh? Look up Morning Sickness (which can be experienced at ANY time of the day) on epregnancy.com or on a search engine such as yahoo or google

QUESTION:
Morning Sickness and Food problem at 7ish Weeks?
I have a quick kinda silly question about morning sickness. So every morning/afternoon I feel really sick and like i’m exhausted and I just feel like crap but I’ve never actually been sick just the feeling like I could be is there, is that morning sickness?
and I also have a really hard time eating, like I’ll be hungry and then like eat and three bites later I feel like I can’t even look at food! Its horrible is that normal?
And is there anything I can do to like help these?
Thanks in advance =)
oh okay so constipation is normal too, sorry i honestly have no idea if anything that is going on is normal right now, so that you for adding that
I’m 16 and uneducated about this, I can honestly say, so if anyone else would like to add any thing that may happen to me, so I don’t freak out that would be appriciated-
ANSWER:
Yup. that’s morning sickness. It can last all dayMorning sickness can plateau at your 2nd trimester but its not unusual for it to last until the delivery.
Do Not Take Any medication your doctor has not said was okay. Some people think it’s okay just to take whatever and expect it not to have any dangers on the baby, and this is not the case!
To help out your stomach, your doctor can prescribe you something called Diatrin, Dialatron? Something like that. It is okay for the baby and you can take it as you need it, without going over 4 pills in a 24 hour time period. I’ve been using it and it is great!
When it comes to foods, it is also normal for you to suddenly hate foods you’ve always loved, and love foods you’ve always hated! If your not taking a prenatal vitamin, its very important that your still eating. Experiment with foods and what stays down the best. Usually hot foods, peppers and onions are bad for the stomach.
If you find your constipated (which happens to alot of us pregos) try to eat a lot of fruit.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
Morning sickness or Food poisoning?
Ok, I am 16 and having a pregnancy scare… But I also had some disgusting food last night. If I am pregnant, I am 1-9 weeks pregnant. This is my first time throwing up in a while. I threw up only a little bit, and actually little chunks of that bad food came out. And after I threw up, I felt perfectly fine. It was around 1am, if that helps. I still feel perfectly fine. It was sudden nasuea too, barely any warning. I need help!!! Would this be food poisoning or morning sickness?
(Also, I cannot get ahold of a pregnancy test any time soon, so that is out of the question)-
ANSWER:
The one time I had food poisoning I not only vomited for hours on end, but I also had diarrhea. It was so bad that I had to go to the hospital for dehydration. I strongly recommend that you get a pregnancy test ASAP. There may be places in your area that test for free, such as Planned Parenthood.

QUESTION:
When some girls are pregnant, do they get morning sickness? And when do they start to get morning sickness?
Some people don’t get morning sickness, only food cravings, but I have a twin sister..who was pregnent, and had morning sickness, so if I were pregnant, would I get the same thing as her, or what? But when do they normally start to get the sickness?-
ANSWER:
You usually start to feel sick any where from 4 weeks and up. Just because she felt that way doesn’t mean you will. Everyone is different and every time is different. Some woman skip the sickness all together or won’t experience it until they are almost due.
Sorry there is just no way to predict something like that.

QUESTION:
whats the difference between food poisoning and morning sickness?
be specific.
feeling wise, not by definition.-
ANSWER:
food poisoning is the contamination of uncooked or insufficiently cooked foods, by a harmful bacteria or virus. it especially happens in meats and eggs.
morning sickness comes from being pregnant, and the horomones creating a feeling of nausea that happens most often in the morning, of course.
and as for the feeling, morning sickness might be a little less intense than food poisoning, depending on what exactly you ate and how much of it you ate.
its difficult to tell as everyone has different reactions to horomones and food.

QUESTION:
Pregnancy food aversions/morning sickness?
I’m 14 weeks pregnant & was very curious to know how cravings changed throughout pregnancy in others. I’m practically living off Patio brand bean & cheese burritos and sweet tea–my only steady cravings.Don’t get me wrong, I definitely try to include as many fruits & vegetables as I crave, drink plenty of water (the only other thing I can drink besides tea!), take vitamins daily, and make a conscious effort not to overindulge in fast foods (which I can barely eat, anyway)/make an effort to try different foods in attempts to find something healthier (which never works, as I become sick seconds after swallowing the food, if it makes it down).
I can’t stomach beef, eggs, or, sometimes, even milk. Morning sickness was horrible from week 6, when I had to make a trip to the hospital for weight loss & dehydration–excessive vomiting of >15 times daily. I was given Phenergan (that took me back to sickness 2-3 times daily), and the sickness finally began to die down around week 11. But I’m still having major aversions and really have to be cautious, as I still get nauseous every day.
As far as the aversions are concerned, did yours change throughout pregnancy? Do you remember when this happened for you? Did your aversions change with a change in your morning sickness?
(I have spoken to my doctor about the nutrition concerns. I’m strictly looking for the experiences of others concerning the aversions/sickness.)
-
ANSWER:
I’m 12 weeks, and up until the past week or so I couldn’t stand meat of any kind. Also smells of bacon, strong air fresheners, or gasoline made me soooo sick. I only had a little bit of queasiness, and only vomited twice because I smelled something nasty, started coughing, started gagging…and you know the rest lol. But now hopefully all those weird things are behind me. I can eat meats now but I don’t care for some smells. I was told not to worry about the aversions and cravings because it was normal, and to eat what you crave, don’t try to make yourself eat something differently b/c it might make you sick!! Good luck!! I hope things get better for you from now on!!!

QUESTION:
Does morning sickness feel like food poisoning? Does the sick and nausea feeling stop when you throw up?-
ANSWER:
This is a good question. The first doctor talks about how you can avoid morning sickness – like how having a cracker or two the moment you make up can make your stomach more stable, and may help you avoid nausea like this. That video is here:
http://pregnancy.healthguru.com/content/video/watch/100006/Sidestep_Morning_Sickness?YAFT
The second doctor’s video is more about how to get rid of morning sickness once it starts to affect you, which might also be useful information. You can watch that video here:

QUESTION:
is there anything that can help morning sickness other then food !?
like tablets etc is there anything a doctor can give for morning sickness
or is there anything you can buy from the shops !!
and if so are they any good and what do they actually do !!
i just hate morning sickness and its frustrating !!please help
-
ANSWER:
because every pregnancy is different, you may need to try a few things to see which works for you, but you should be able to find some relief from one of the many recommended remedies.there are some medications, but they are quite pricey and the drowsy side-effect can be unbearable if you need to be awake/alert for work or caring for other children.
organic ginger-lemon tonic saved my life during my first pregnancy. it is a syrup-type liquid that can be taken alone or mixed with tea, tonic water, etc. i just took a big swig whenever i felt ill, and it completely curbed any nausea.
much to my dismay, the tonic has been completely unhelpful during this pregnancy. i was so excited to be cured of my extreme all-day sickness, but i just threw the tonic up like everything else. i tried everything from saltines, to waking up slowly, to changing my diet. in the end, the only thing that helped was eating CONSTANTLY. it was hard at first because i felt so sick, but i just started eating anything that i could stomach the thought of and NEVER let myself get hungry. it felt a bit unnaturaly, eating unhealthy things, eating at least every hour, but after about 2 weeks, i had the nausea under control.
i’ve since heard that “morning sickness” is a common result of hunger, so the key is just to keep your belly full. don’t feel guilty if you can only not-so healthy things at first; it will get better. i was only able to eat mcdonald’s breakfast sandwiches, and other yucky fast food items, and i gorged myself on them to deter hunger/nausea. i was terrified about the amount of weight i might be gaining in only the first trimester, but once the nausea was under control, i was able to start incorporating healthier items, and now i’m back to eating normally. i did not end up putting on any weight at all.
congrats and good luck on your seach for morning sickness relief

QUESTION:
Morning sickness, flu, or food poisoning? 19 weeks pregnant?
Ever since yesterday morning, I haven’t been able to keep anything down. Yesterday evening is when things got worse — no matter how much BILE I’ve thrown up, I’ve still managed to have a sour stomach. I woke up this morning feeling okay so I had my fiance go get some breakfast, since my stomach was empty from throwing up so much. 15 minutes after I ate, everything came up AGAIN! Every time I have had the flu, it only lasted half a day. I only had morning sickness during the early stages of my pregnancy, and it wasn’t ever bad. I’ve never had food poisoning before. What could this be? Also, how can I keep myself hydrated and will my baby be okay? I feel like I’m dying right now, but my baby is more important and I want to know if, aside from all this, that he is okay.-
ANSWER:
I had gastro when I was 27 weeks pregnant with my twins – I wanted to die!!!For 24 hours, stick with water and dry toast. Your baby will be fine

QUESTION:
Is it morning sickness or the food poisoning?
Yesterday morning, I woke up slightly nauseous. Once I drank a little tea and walked around a little, I was fine. This morning, at 5am I was awakened by a roiling in my tummy and was running to the bathroom to puke. Since then, I’ve puked again, but only once. After I vomited, I became very tired and have slept for about 4 hours. My husband thinks I may have food poisoning, but I wonder. We haven’t been trying for a baby, but then we haven’t been careful either. I wonder if anyone can tell me which this sounds like.By the way, I’ve had two late periods since then, and on my first late one, I tested negative. I don’t want to test again unless this sickness pattern continues.
PS. I mentioned that I took a test once. please, if you are going to berate me for asking an honest question, don’t answer. To those of you have been helpful and given me an answer without the rudeness, THANKS!

QUESTION:
Pregnant again 6 months after having baby – no morning sickness?
Ok, I am 7 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby. This was a total surprise, as all 3 of my boys were planned, so I am in shock. I had morning sickness and food adversions with each of them by this stage, but this time I don’t have it (yet). In fact, I am the total opposite – I am hungry all the time and want to eat everything that’s not nailed down! Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks Libbi – Congrats to you also – do you know what you are having?-
ANSWER:
Girl, I am almost 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I cannot recall any morning sickness, I even got worried because I thought something was wrong with me or the baby. I have some bouts of nausea, but nothing that I would call “morning sickness” but don’t get worried.. every woman and every pregnancy is different.
Congratulations on your fourth baby!!

QUESTION:
What does morning sickness feel like? Is it like the flu or food poisoning?
I know it’s different for everyone but is it like something has gone bad in your stomach or what? Please help me understand.-
ANSWER:
For me it was like when you see something gross and it makes you gag. My mouth would start to water, I would feel like I was going to lose it, I would spend way to much time fighting it, then I would throw up and feel so much better, for about 15 minutes. I think the worst part for me was smells, would set me off everytime.

QUESTION:
Food poisoning or morning sickness?
can anyone tell the difference?I had all that nauseated feeling yesterday for a long time, when i ate it went away but like 20 minutes after it returned. sharp heartburn in the middle of my chest, only for a short period though. and last night it went away, but now i am queasy. I took a pregnancy test sunday but that was only two weeks into pregnancy, if i am.
so what is the difference of food poisoning and morning sickness?
thank you very much, i no i should just take the other pregnancy test but am not sure if i am pregnant enough, if i am, to take it and get correct results.
what ever it is increases my senses because we have thouse airwick automatic air fresheners and i was far from it iand i felt like i couls taste the fragrence, didnt make me sick but it did at the thought of spray being in my mouth.
had nothing come out just that feeling in the back of your throat that is like on a roller coaster… up and down and way up and way down… just the intesity would increase at certian thoughts or things.
also wish i could just get it over with because of the thought of it going away… not that it is ruining my day and i have not had to run to the bathroom once but i have actually gaggd slightly just sitting there.-
ANSWER:
I’ve had food poisoning before and it’s a hell of a lot worse than feeling nauseated. You have a bubbly stomach, puking, diarrhea and it’s violent, it comes in waves and it’s painful.Morning sickness on the other hand, I felt nauseous all the time and wished I could throw up because I knew if I did, I’d feel better.

QUESTION:
morning sickness?!?
I was having HORRIBLE Morning sickness so bad I couldnt keep food down. The doctor gave me these nasty tasting little pills to help. my question is if and when I come off these pills will the bad nausia come back? and if so will it be worse?
what foods can I eat that would stay down I tried Pasta. the only thing that seems to work is soup-
ANSWER:
There may not be anything you can do about it. I had a friend who this happened to, and she couldn’t keep anything down (be lucky you have soup) for about 2 months. She just had to deal with it. She did continue to dehydrate though because of it, and would have to go to the hospital to have an IV, and rehydrate. Make sure you you do to, if you are dehydrated cause it is not good for the baby. Good Luck, and just remember eventually it will pass.

QUESTION:
Morning Sickness Or The Food Poisoning?
I have my period every other month for the past four months. I’ve taken 2 home pregnancy test and a planned parent hood test that all said I am not pregnant. And I haven’t had sex in almost two months. However, I woke up this morning with a really bad tummy ache. My abdominal mussels hurt. I’ve felt sick, I have diarrhea, really gassy, and I have a really bad pain on my upper right abdominal area. I know I should not be asking about if Im pregnant since I’ve had two periods, but I’ve read alot of stories of women who had their period and were still pregnant. I still feel sick but there hasn’t been any vomiting, just gas and diarrhea. I did eat some ranch dressing that had been left out for a few days last night which is why Im thinking it could be a mild case of food poisoning. The hurting is kinda settled until I start moving around and then it gets alot worse.-
ANSWER:
It is probably food poisoning (I feel very badly for you too, that’s not a fun thing to deal with). If you’ve had three negative pregnancy tests and you have been getting your period and you haven’t had sex in two month, I would say that you are probably not pregnant. You would be getting some other signs by now that you might be pregnant. Especially since it has been so long since you’ve had sex. If you are still worried about, call and schedule and appointment at your doctors office for a blood test. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better.

My morning sickness has kind of been getting worse as the weeks go on. around 4 I had it every now and again. The last few days its horrible. Today no matter what I eat or smell I it triggers the nausea.
My doc perscribed phomethazine which I believe is the generic phenegren 25 MG but it barely does anything. I haven’t eatin more than a few crackers all day but everytime I put food in my mouth if it even makes it that far I get sick or dry heaves.
Ginger ale helps some
crackers and peppermint haven’t helped at all. I see my OB tommorrow but I am desperate.
I finany had a full meal at 5:30 pm so far I am doing good I am a bit concered that I may have Hypermesis Gravida I didn’t know what it was called until I researched it but I had it with my 1st pregnancy which I was unable to carry to term.
One thing I want to make sure future moms know is HG is not a mental thing it is a medical condition and hell. hopefully this go round it wont be so bad,
bananas- stayed down about 15 mins.
preggie pops – got the variety bag. Half of the smells and tastes make me sick. the green tea wasn’t too bad but I like B-natal lollipops better as the scents and tastes are mild and they contain B6 and B 12-
ANSWER:
It sounds like your suffering from the same thing I had (Hypermesis Gravida). Mine lasted to my sixth month..You need to call your doctor and explain the situation..The only thing that worked for me was getting an I.V. every other day to stay hydrated..They would place vitamins for the baby in my I.V…I only drank and ate what sounded good..sometimes It would stay down , other times not so lucky..Don’t let yourself become to dehydrated, it can cause problems for you and the baby..Good luck

QUESTION:
What foods should I stay away from to prevent morning sickness?
Im lucky enough to not only have morning sickness but all day sickness, so whats some foods I should stay away from to prevent or to help with it even a little?-
ANSWER:
Im so sorry!! Im 16 weeks and I still have … what I like to call “pregnancy sickness.” Different foods seem to affect different people. Obvious ones are heavy/greasy/really spicy foods. What I did to figure out what seems to make the nausea/vomitting worse is keep a “diary” of what I was eating. By doing that I noticed what foods seemed to give me the most trouble: red meats are a big one for me, and I avoid them now. Also, I started taking my prenatal vitamin at night when the nausea was the most mild. Try eating smaller more frequent meals, that seems to help me … nibble crakers, sip water/juice, little bit of soup etc.GOOD LUCK, I know this part sucks, but its worth it huh??

QUESTION:
Food or Liquids to soothe morning sickness?
Im 8weeks 2days prego and have the worst morning sickness! I found out i was pregnant at 4weeks 2days and thought i wouldnt have any since it didnt start right away my first OB app was Feb.21st i was 7weeks 3days then my morning sickness started on the 22nd, My dr gave me a list of meds to take that was safe during pregnancy so i now have Emetrol or nausea & vomitting i’ve been taking it for close to a week now and its not helping it either comes back up or i still feel nausea after i take it i was wondering if anyone had this same problem and do you know of any food or drinks that can help! Im scheduled to go in later this week because i cant keep the Emetrol down
-
ANSWER:
The most important thing right now is to stay hydrated. You really don’t want to be dehydrated, so drink as much as possible. Take small sips so as not to overwhelm your stomach. Water can sometimes hurt an empty stomach, so try ginger ale with the bubbles stirred out (carbonation can also hurt your stomach), powerade or gatorade, or juice, if you can manage it.Other things that might work for you are popsicles or ices, and fruit–a lot of miserably pregnant women find that they CAN eat fruit, so try out different kinds if that appeals at all. For me, I found that I could eat (at different times) strawberries, grapefruit, and thinly sliced golden delicious apples. It was weirdly specific, but it kept me alive!
You should try having very small “meals”–a bite of a cracker here and there when you can stomach it. A lot of people find that keeping crackers or something light next to their bed and taking a few bites before they even get out of bed in the morning. You will feel worse if your stomach is empty, so keeping food in it–even just a little bit–will help stave off the misery.
You might also want to try adding peanut butter to your crackers. Peanut butter has protein, which will make you feel better if you can keep it down.
If nothing else works, ask your doctor for medication like reglan or zofran to help.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
Easy food to keep down during morning sickness??
Ok Ladies (and Gents if wanted)…
So I am starving lately. I have terrible morning sickness (atleast 3 times a day), and can’t keep anything down. I’ve tried all the light things, like saltines and ginger ale… but if those stay down, I’m still hungry. Does anyone know of or has experienced some food that is filling and easy to keep down (in TERRIBLE morning sickness, not light)?Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!
Thank you! I’ll try to the ginger! I wasn’t sure about that when I first read it… but hearing first hand usage, makes it sounds worth a shot!-
ANSWER:
Fruit salad, and cheddar cheese slices on crackers is my favorite snack. You have to have something with protein in it to keep your belly full. Try eating something small, and include protein every two hours. It helps me A LOT! Also, plenty of water.
