As a migraine sufferer myself, I can relate to the pain other sufferers go through on a daily basis. Luckily for us though, there are lots of different things we can do to combat this problem. One good example of what we can do is use a range of relaxation techniques.

Controlling breathing – This is something a lot of people practice. Take a deep breath through the nose and allow your stomach to expand. Hold this posture for a few seconds and then release; repeat 4-5 times. Do this a few times a day and you may feel a lot more relaxed.

Using muscles – Muscles are there to be used and when they are not, sometimes you might become irritated or tense. The best thing you can do is do some light exercise or tense your muscles, even if it is 5-10 seconds at a time. After doing this, it wont give instant migraine relief, but relieve the body of the stress that causes a migraine.

Meditating – This is a great way to reduce stress, which is directly linked to migraines. Meditation is great because it should only take around 15 minutes per day and is actually fun.

Balanced lifestyle – Finding a healthy balance in your lifestyle will allow you to relax a lot easier. If you can allow your body to relax rather than forcing it, then the likelihood of migraine relief taking place is likely to be much more dominant. Part of a lot of relaxation techniques is simply; learning exactly how to relax.

Whilst some of the above techniques will provide some great ways to relax reduce stress and actually get migraine relief for some, it might not work for others. If this is the case then they might need to look at other techniques such as different types of diets, their current sleeping pattern and so on.

Finding a solution to finally achieve migraine relief is not an easy task. There are solutions out there though, so do not be afraid to try something new! http://www.themigrainerelief.com

Immune system is the body defense mechanism against diseases. You can imagine it like a battle where the immune system in the army, the virus is the invaders and the battlefield is your body so the sneezing, the coughing, the congestion and the fever are  your immune system ways to defect the virus causing the flu.

Here are some method in prompting your immune system generally:

  • Eat a lot of green food, vegetables and fruits contain antioxidants, antioxidants are good substances which help your immune system functions. Also vegetables and fruits contains a lot of vitamins and minerals which important to your metabolism and cellular functions. also some vitamins and minerals like vitamin C , D and zinc are good to your immune system.
  • Exercise regularly, exercising enhance your blood circulation, improve your heart and lung function and increase blood flow to your organs. When your organs get a good blood exchange they get also the white blood cells and other immunity cells that defend against infection.
  • Have a good sleep every night, rhythmic cyclic sleep allows the body to secrete hormones regularly and that improve immune function.
  • Ease your mind, stress is a major factor affecting the immune system. stress and depression could decrease immune system function and make it more vulnerable to diseases. So when you feel stressed out or depressed try  take to someone, go out with your friends, treat your self with something good and you may also try some exercise,  as exercise secrets endorphins which is  brain happiness hormones .

And here are some methods to prompt your immune system during the attack:

  • Eat some special immune prompting stuff like garlic which contains antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal agents. Garlic also known as a very good immune stimulant.  It was told that the Pharaohs was taking daily supplement of garlic while they have been building the great pyramids. Onion is a close relative to garlic . it has also immune prompting qualities. Lemon and other citrus fruits are very good immune helper as they contain vitamin C.
  • Eat high protein diet. Immunoglobulins, other white blood cells and other immune secreted weapons are made of proteins and while you are ill immune system consume big amount of proteins from your body storage.
  • Have a 30 minutes walk every day, walking is great because it has the benefits of the exercise without making your body tired. Even when you are sick you still can walk a little to improve your circulation.
  • Have a good rest specially in the first 2 days of symptoms, it will help your body to heal quicker and direct all its resources to fight the flu.

The main issue with the flu is there is no definite treatment. there is no pill you will take that will make the flu magically. The pharmacological medication of the flu are either symptomatolytic or antiviral. Symptomatolytics relieve the symptoms only and don’t cure the etiology. The antivirals actually help your immune system to kill the virus bodies, its not safe to use without your doctor consult. The best thing to do is boosting your immune system and help it to eliminate the virus.
